• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 STS - Is the Signal Switch easily replaced?

The signal switch on our 2013STS is acting up. Sometimes you have to press it twice to cancel and the left turn signal sometime won’t come on unless you push the switch multiple times. Can the switch be easily replaced or will I have to buy an entire switch cluster.

Entire cluster needs to be replaced. However, you may be able to open the switch area up and see if there's a way to clean the contacts either with some alcohol and a Q-tip, compressed air, or contact cleaner. Look for pinched wires, and be careful, because the switch could contain jumping parts just waiting to spring out and vanish into the tiny black hole hovering a short distance away.

I faced a similar problem twice in a car I used to own. In each case I was looking at replacing a whole control module because of a single, balky switch. Since I was on the verge of spending $400 each time for a replacement module, as well as facing a replacment part rarity due to the car going out of production a decade earlier, I figured what the heck, what do I have to lose by taking the thing apart and messing with the switch? In both cases, some delicate surgery and contact cleaning solved the problem.

Good luck.

Similar issues, especially with L turn function. Have not disassembled to inspect or clean, just made a point to push in & go back & forth several times, attempting to scrub off whatever might be interfering with the switch. Daily driver sent to work for a couple of weeks or so then have to repeat. Annoying not critical, R does just fine & I make more R turns anyway. Also, I have used hand signals as a 'just in case' back-up. It definitely happens more in cooler weather & or with interference from gloves :dontknow: Just stay aware & give extra room for traffic otherwise - jokingly, others can be shocked to see someone using blinkers anyway. :roflblack:

No experience on 2013, but on my 2020 RT, the left hand switch module malfunctioned, and it wouldn't switch gears. I finally gave up trying to remedy the problem and bought a new switch assembly (the assembly is not serviceable). $450 U.S. for the part and I installed it myself, which is a pita.
