• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

True Excellence versus contrived BS

I know

 Over $50k!!!
that think would have hit the auction block long ago if it were mine. I hope my 14 stays reliable as I haven't had a problem out of it. Now where's some wood to knock on?

Hard to believe huh.

It adds up fast.

Hi Jerbear,

Re: burning Spyders.

Do you ever think you might have an accidental fire?

I did not type that; my computer is acting up.

:yikes:

PS) I've read almost all of your posts on your problems; I definitely feel for you. Hang in there, life will get better.

Over 50K invested in a Spyder that's been a PITA service and repair money pit.

I'm thinking an Indian trike the way I would want it would essentially cost the same.

And, thanks for all the recall data.
Why don't you just dump your spyder you have had many complaints for years , move on you don't trust it

JerryB,

It doesn't get any better than a 2008GS.

Aren't you about ready to try out another new one? :dontknow:

As I get older, I think I am getting smarter. Went on a 100 mile ride today. On the way home, the 14 would not go into reverse. All forward gears are good and it downshifts on its own. Back to the shop on Monday. :dontknow:

Bummer

Glad it happened at home and hope it's an easy fix.

Do you have extended warranty?

Check to see if the reverse actuator relay is loose or bad.

My first m/c ride was on my Dad's 1947 Indian Chief Roadmaster. This was in the early 50's, I was almost 2 years old and my Dad remembers my Mom running after us yelling, "Now, you two be careful!!!" Of course, there I sat, on the gas tank, my little tushy cushioned with one of Mom's tea towels. Mom recalls Dad crying when he had to sell the bike to buy a station wagon - - THANKS, BABY BROTHER!!!

But if you already have the Indian, then your only looking at around $15000.00.
Talk to Gene Wright at Crossroads Trikes in Salt Lake City. Does great work on conversions.
