• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Took delivery of my Canyon Base

I made a deal with iMotorsports and traded in my F3-S, their offer was much better than I expected, and the whole process was easy as could be. Patrick, the transport guy, arrived on the dot late Tuesday afternoon with a big enclosed trailer, drove the Canyon off, drove the F3 on, and that was that. I lucked out with nice weather yesterday and put nearly 200 miles on the bike. At this point, I am pleased as can be. It doesn't corner like the Ryker Sport, but nothing does. I do believe it will allow for plenty enough spirited riding as I get used to it. I've just begun to look into the nooks and crannies of the bike, but I was pleased to find a handy digital tire gauge in the tool kit, and a spare battery for it, too. It's dead on with another digital gauge I've been using, but the straight chuck on this one makes it much easier to use on the rear of the Canyon. A nice touch from BRP. I'll say I was a good bit disappointed to find a 310 CCA battery sitting in a tray that's too small for the Yuasa YTX24HL-BS. We'll see how it goes with this Vietnamese battery and hope for the best. I hope to ride some more today, while I try to work up the courage to set the clock.

Congrats on your new ride. I see you said it doesn't corner as well as your Ryker, but how is it compared to the F3S that you traded? I haven't had a chance to ride a Canyon, but I plan on finding a demo day soon.

I may not be the one to ask, blacklightning. I never could get comfortable with the F3 feet forward riding position and always felt somewhat disconnected from the bike, so I didn't enjoy curvy roads as much as I would have liked. I hope you'll soon be able to give the Canyon a try.

Somewhere on this forum @racoon posted the Ryker Rydes clock setting video and it was the ticket. I corrected my date and time with no drama whatsoever. I followed Lamont's video and found the customer accessory connectors just as shown, so I used posi-taps to hook up a USB charging port. On my bike, BRP used packing tape to secure both of the connectors' wiring to the plastic housing, so that was another thing that made them easy to spot. Per our voltmeter, the connectors are dead with the key on, but provide 13V with the bike running.

Poking around the bike yesterday, I noticed the rear pin on the right side service cover wasn't seated under its holding tab. I couldn't get it to seat either, so I ended up adding thin washers between the pin bracket and the housing it's screwed to. That dropped the pin enough that it slid under the tab with no trouble at all.

I have the heated grips on hand to install, not quite ready to tackle that chore yet. The instructions list 5 hours for the job  but I'm told it's a simple plug and play and it's the removal of body panels and wire routing that's time consuming. 🤞
