Factory says it is a 2-1/2 hour job

Hi folks,

i need to to adjust my bars on my 2013 ST Ltd as well. Is the 2.5 hour estimate realistic for the shop to install, or did your install take longer? Even with the ultimate seat, my shoulders kill me. I need to do something, even if it is risers ...

When I installed them on my wife's old STL about 3 years ago, it took me about 4 hrs to do the install and I am very mechanically inclined. I did a write up about it back them. It should still be in here somewhere.

Tri Axis Bars.

I recently fitted a set of these bars to my 2016 RT Ltd and found them to be the cure for my aching shoulders. The only thing I found to be a problem is that because I raised the rear jacking screw nearly as high as it would go, all the switches on the bars are now out of reach of my thumbs. I will have to make some slots in the bar clamps so that I can rotate the switch assemblies back to a more comfortable position.

UPDATE: The dealer installed these for me. Three and a half hours labor (includes GPS) and such a big difference - no more shoulder pain and a much more enjoyable ride. Soooo worth having done!!!

I mounted a standard garmin on my tri axis. Just drilled a hole
Iin the suction cup on the window mount and mounted it in the screw hole under the rubber cap on the top of the bars. Save guite a few hundred dollars. Was able to use a bolt that wasn't needed from reinstall of thr tri axis bars. Looks good, not hacked.

yes, I was told by my dealer it would cost $230 plus for the gps adapter. Well, I dealt with Chuck from Smith Marine USA in New Britain, PA and he sold me the tri axis bars about $200 less than my dealer quoted the gps adapter for less than $50 saving me about $175 on that. I have saved a total of over $2000.00 by dealing with Chuck ans his beother Jack. I highly recommend them

had seen these bars and wished they had similar for the F3.
Glad to see the near infinite adjustment works for all.
Now if only BRP would make them for mine

I'd love to have a set also. I've heard its a BIG JOB, even when done by the shop. How did it go for you? Is it something
anyone with minimum/moderate skills might do?

It is a big job. I kept the you tube video on and followed it step by step. It took me somewhat longer than the previous post. They did make all the difference in the world, got rid of the constant ache in my shoulders.

Did you have to change the GPS mount or can you use the existing one? I see they make one that says it's "for" the tri-axis handlebars.
