I drove from Slovenija, thru south part of Hungary to Romania. Firs night was in ARAD/Romania. After Arad i drove to Transilvania. Great part of tour. SIGOSHOARA is great city. UNESCO protected the old city center http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sighişoara . Then i drive to Bran ("Dracula" castle), Brasov, Bucharest (capitol of Romania), Constanta(Black sea) and then take a turn to nort and thru Moldova to Ukraine. Moldova is wery poor ex-Soveit Union country. People live from ??? I dont know. I sleep in hotel in Cahul. It has aprox.200 rooms and i was the only guest. Roads thru Moldova is wery, wery, wery bed. I take the road to the west again and come to Ukraine. Another ex-Soviet Union country. A litlle better then Moldova. I drive thru "bugs storm"...about 10 miles of small bugs. 10000000000 of them. Photo of my helmet is in album. I thought it was desert storm when i see it. :dontknow: why is that but i never see somemething like this before in my life. Really crazy experience. Thru Ukraine i come to Hungary, sleep in Budapest and back home. In ex-Soviet countries you see everywhere that this places was part of "sistem". They still driving 30 years old Lada, Volga etc...You can see 30 years old Lada and new Bentley at same time. I think that a few people get wery rich after "sistem" fall in pieces.
I feel wery safe all the time. Everybody worry about where to park :spyder2:thru night and watch to him. Police stops me all the time to look what UFO i drive.
On border in Moldova and Ukraine it takes about 2 hours to cross....Not because of traffic. 2 hours is normal "procedure" time on these borders. They ask you all kinds of things... If i have drugs, ectasy....why travel to Moldova, how much money i have, where will i sleep, how long will i stay etc....
:spyder2: runs great all the time.

I'm curious, what's the story behind the two old headstones you got photos of?

Thanks doc but I meant the two that remind me of cemetery headstones. Not necessarily a translation but what was it about those two that prompted igor to get a picture of them.

WOW what I trip, something I would sure enjoy if I could do it. Thanks for sharing great photo to keep for your memories.

Igor I loved seeing the pictures I am sure no one minded the space for them. Your English is fine much better than my Russian "Da" That was my Russian. I don't know if I could eat in Dracula's Restaurant. I know he started out good but he ended up bad. That is if he ended up.

Wonderful photos Igor! So different from any thing we experience in the west.
I wonder if you solved the mounting problem you had with your Givi bags. I see that you have a different rack than I do, so I am afraid my advice did not help you.( My rack is an Industries 7).
