Well The fiberglass rock catcher that is also the thing that catches one's eye is very weak and is supported by the spare tire. The paint chips off of this pretty easy. I was suppose to get some touch up paint with this but of course I didn't.
The Fiberglass wheel fenders are weak and low enough that you can scrap them on curbing.
There are several extra holes in the trailer bed that are placed there for a two place two wheel motorcycle trailer. I suppose these will start rusting very soon. A $5500 custom trailer should not have extra holes. You would think a quality product would at least have a blank put in these.
The supplied wiring harness from the battery had a bad crimp in in. Easy enough to fix once I found it. The trailer would not pump itself up without this connection
My trailer was damaged during shipment and it took upwards of two months to get it sort of fixed. I can show you where it was damaged. Once again for $5500 I would rather ding the trailer up myself.
I still haven't gotten all of the parts that I ordered but I have given up on getting them ever. I am missing the tilt up stands. I asked for my money back in lieu of getting them but that did not happen either.
When I received the trailer I had to assemble it. I also had to go buy about $30 worth of bolts, nuts, washers, to do this since they were not supplied.
I called the guys at AST every week for about three months over this. I never received a return call.
So go ahead and buy one. I am sure your experience will be better than mine. It would have to be.
