I am using the Can Am trailer with my 2012 HD Ultra Classic and had to use the 4-5 wire convertor, the trailer isolator module, and then put an end on that was compatible with the Can Am R-622 trailer. I used the Rivco trailer hitch for the Harley, the Rivco 4-5 wire convertor and the Rivco isolator module. Then I went looking for a compatible plug, and when I found it at Del City, I also discovered that I could have purchased all of the electrical components to do the job from them as well. Del City is the place to go for aftermarket plugs to fit into the OEM Spyder's trailer plug, and much much more. One stop shopping with them, and reasonably priced! (And I don't even work for them) www.delcity.com
I hope this helps others who want to use the Can Am R-622 trailer with other cycles. This trailer is really low slung, is completely water tight, has independent suspension, and has electric brakes that brake with the bike, which makes it almost in a class by itself. We liked taking the trailer along with our Spyder so much that with a little bit of extra work and $$, made this expensive trailer now usable with our HD. Makes sense right?
Cheers!
