There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

An aluminum 6x10 will certainly do it...
But a 7x12 gives you more "wiggle-room", and latitude in placement of the bike. :thumbup:

I think this is the tightest on width one would wish too do , not much room for loading but can be done { 1200 u.s. dollars or 1000 when on sale }... a drop down hitch might be needed also { I had too buy a 5 inch drop or the trailer would be tilted towards the rear too much }

I like Aluma, I have a 6 x10 with the bi-fold ramp gate. That gate matters because of it's design, there
is an arch at the hinge (middle) that keeps Spyder from catching anything.
Pulls like a dream, very light.
I also pull an Aluma m/c trailer with my RT. I guess I just like them. Build quality is high, and the local dealer will in fact deal.

Go for a 7x12 boxed trailer, WITH brakes! Also go the extra $$ and get aluminum. Keeps you baby out of the elements, and provides extra security when parked for the night. Aluminum keeps it light weight. And the brakes will save you when they are needed. Don't over tax your tow vehicle! :thumbup: Tom :spyder:

Over the winter I bought a Aluma 6810, deck width is full 68", front tread width on rt is 62" = 3" to spare on either side. Haven't had a chance to try it yet (trailer
stored in one place bike in other) but should fit ?? Previous owner had a trike and added boards to raise the front end so it wouldn't bottom.

I use an aluminum 6x10 with a rear ramp and wood deck. It's just your run 'o the mill aluminum utility trailer found at any trailer dealer. Cost was $1400 I think.
The Ultimate Trailer
The absolute most easiest trailer for our spyders and us. They are not cheap, but you can't seem to find a used one, as everyone keeps the one they bought. Resale value would be very good. They are made specifically for Spyders. We love ours. I think the web site is theultimate-trailers.com

Don't short yourself on width. I bought the smallest trailer that my F3 would fit on. It only had about two inches on each side of the wheels. It was such a nightmare loading the Spyder, that I finally just cut almost all of the superstructure off. You could barely turn the wheels without jamming one fender or the other against the superstructure. In my opinion, anything less than six inches on either side will just frustrate you. Good luck. I agree that the Ultimate Trailer is the best choice IF you have unlimited funds, I just got an estimate on a open trailer with the SE package and LED lights and it was $6,800.00 delivered. $800.00 of that was delivery, if you are close to their factory you can pick it up there for $100.00.

That looks similar to mine without the superstructure that I removed. You might have problems with the Spyder high centering with that short ramp. I had to have a six foot ramp added to mine.

Our droptail trailer works well for us....also can store in garage is a plus! We used it several times last year - no issues, tows well.

I use it for EITHER the Spyder or the Gold Wing. I must use the center position for the Gold Wing as it will not fit on the left or right side of the trailer due to length. We trailer our 2014 RT Limited with no problem with this trailer and it "noses" up in the V part of the trailer against our 20" stone guard (which is optional). The 4 pictures added at bottom were just a couple months ago....note that I do NOT transport with the cover on it. I only cover the Spyder when leaving it out overnight! Also, all the tie down straps were removed at this time as it was parked.
We use a Droptail trailer. I really like that it folds and stores upright in the garage and NO ramps needed - built in. Works well for the Spyder with the low clearance. The back of the trailer hydraulically lowers and the built in rear gate folds down to extend the ramp portion. Easy to use. Our Spyder RT just fits and the nose of the Spyder fits in the V part of the front of the trailer. Not a lot of spare room, but works well. The Spyder fills the whole trailer even though this is a "two up" motorcycle trailer. A bonus for us is that our Gold Wing can be hauled on this trailer (with the use of the wheel chock that is included with the trailer) as well - however, only one bike at a time (unless you have two - 2 wheel motorcycles that are "short" enough). There is a standard 8 inch stone guard and an optional 20" stone guard. I did add the 20" stone guard on our trailer. Also, we purchased an optional spare tire which bolts to the bottom of the trailer. It has a steel frame with an aluminum deck with lots of tie down points!

I purchased an open trailer for around $1100 which works well for my F3 6.5' x 12'.
Checkout Hurst Trailers in TN where the same trailer is cheaper but I got mine in Indiana.
