Mt. Airy to be exact , Headed out tonight after work from Upstate NY for a 5 day trip through pa, va, nc, tn, ky, oh. Should be about 1800 miles when said and done. Main destination after traveling south on the Blue Ridge Parkway is Mt. Airy (The true Mayberry RFD), birthplace of Andy Griffith, the town the series was based on and home of Goobers Service Station , Floyds Barber shop (really) and Andy's home he grew up in. Staying in Mt. Pilot (yup thats real too) for 2 of the 5 days and hope to take a couple day trips from there. Both Rt's have over 1200 miles on them . Carol's had one minor issue with a rear shock which was repaired at 200 milesand since then has been bullet-proof, My Black RTS was replaced by my dealer at the 500 mile mark after it developed every issue known to man, all minor but the repairs would have taken us into our trip and he stepped up to the pump and traded me even for a Demo RTS unit he had literally just put in service. Thus my anxiety with 7 days to go before the trip. Happy to say my current RTS has been through hell and back in the last week ,logging 1200 miles in hail , rain , highways , backroads , trailer towing and and has exhibited ZERO issues. We are ready to roll. It is AMAZING what you can fit in the 622 Trailer, but fully loaded is when you finally begin to realize the RT could use just a little more HP.
