Towing a Spyder - what trailer do you recommend?

Hello , this is my first post and I know someone can help. We have a 2020 RT and would like to trailer it behind our Motorhome. Has anyone used the stinger, made for the spyder or can you recommend another setup.

The Stinger for a Spyder gets good reviews. If you don't have a need for the trailer to do anything else, I think it is a good choice. If you do decide you want a multi-use trailer, a 6' X 10' is the best size. Some have gotten by with a bit smaller dimensions but then it gets crowded. I have a Primo aluminum 6X10 and it is a good size for a Spyder in addition to my California Sidecar GL1800 trike. But it will also do a lot more trailering activities if needed. Good luck..... what ever you tow behind a motorhome on an open trailer is going to hit with a lot of sh.. I would suggest and enclosed trailer. Towed a Jeep behind one for almost 20 years so I know of what I speak

How long have you owned it, and how many mile do you have on it?? When you open it up and it locks together, is it nice and tight or is it a little loose? Are the hinges nice a beefy? Reason I am asking is, that with alum if it has any play in the mating pieces after a while it will egg out and get really sloppy, fatigue and break! I had a flip down alum trailer one time, I didn't pay much attention the where the tong hooked and swiveled to the trailer bed, it basically was a piece of c-channel, with a bolt threw the tong, it was the hinge for the tip part of the trailer! It had this funky latch thing that held the bed down to the tong on the front, not a good set up, I found out the hard way!!!! Well the bolt was the loose link it that set up, what I didn't realize was that hole was enlarging with use and the whole thing was working back and forth going down the road, until one morning I was going ice fishing with my sled and snowmobile on the trailer! Down the country road I was going with my cup of coffee in one hand and steering wheel in the other when bag I hit a pot hole in the road, up the trailer went at close to 50 mph, and all I say was a trailer trying to pass me from one side then the other side!!:banghead: I got it all together and kept it out of the ditch, got it home and fix the back bolting area by welding a bushing in the hole and tightening that joint up, then fixing that stupid lock on the fount, with a pin threw the whole rig, so there was no way it was getting away from me again!!! I know I have put you to sleep with this post, but what I am getting at is the when you have a trailer with a lot of joints, hinges, pins, that's a thing that needs to be watched, be careful, it's not something that I would want in my door yard!!:dontknow:

I had an aluminum 6X10 on order (on sale with a raincheck) from Orschelin's--but I don't think they were ever going to come in. I lucked out and found a used "Aluma" 6X10 with a built in pull out ramp and rock shield on the front at a pawn shop for a lot less $$$ and snapped it up. I will have to use ramps on each side of the built in, but it should work just fine.

I have Aluma just like that but 14 ft model. Use it for the quad too, and can haul but the Spyder and my son’s Victory on it at the same time. Model is UTR 14.

Have you considered a hydralift? It would still leave you able to have a toad.
