• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've recieved several emails now from vendors wanting to know what's up with an email they got about a new "Spyder Lovers" message board. Seems that one of the dealers that until yesterday use to promote on this board has decided to create their own board to do their marketing. That's fine if they want to go that route but they are using the SpyderLovers name in their forum that I've been using since 2007. I have taken the legal steps needed to protect that name and I hate to say that this may get real ugly for them if they continue to contact the vendors and members here to promote their new site. If you want to start another site like this one how about using your dealership name and not trying to steal this one and the vendors and members here.

This is the kind of stuff I hate about running a site like this. It's happened before on all my other boards and none of them were successful and they soon failed but it will cause some division and it will cause me some grief I'm sure. I'm not going to go into details but I will say that if their site shows up here on our boards I will remove the post. I'm not going to let them use this site to promote theirs. I can't stop the backdoor stuff but so far the people that have contacted me are not happy and somewhat amazed that someone would do something so blatant and so wrong.

So if you're a vendor or member and you get a email to checkout a new Spyder Lovers site with all sorts of promises you can bet it didn't come from me or anyone else from the first and only real SpyderLovers site.
 
You said it all. I believe most members will give this site their undaunted loyalty. Cheapshot tactics will never win in my book. :2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

I just got a email about spydertv.net..but I haven't been contacted about this new spyderlovers website,so thanks for the heads-up lamont.

Confusion in the market place is never good. You always seem to take the high road even when its not easy. Looking forward to the future with you lamont and ALL we have going. thanks for being who you are and doing what you do! Thank you to so many spyderlovers who have backed you and who support both of us, without this family of folks our store wouldn't be what it is. My family depends on the love support and forgiveness of this site as well as the deep bonds...Couldn't be where we are today with out all of you!!! BRP is taken note of what can happen when you get a great group like we have all together working to support each other...... HAPPY THANKS GIVING TO ALL OF YOU! AND A VERY HUMBLE THANK YOU!!!:bowdown:

This site is the one that has all of the right people and tons of information. Why would you need to go anywhere else? :dontknow:

Yes, I did receive an email from a spyderlover imposter. I am a vendor and I will ignore there I invitation. My allegiance is with Lamont and the family at www. spyderlovers.com.

behind you all the way. Can't remember where may have been in the FB page of spyder owner I saw them but knew it was not THE SPYDERLOVERS. After being here I have pretty much dropped other sites. You have it all, hope they get their act together and avoid making life miserable...:thumbup:
