There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To Alaska and Back...

:2thumbs:

That is an awesome ending to the day, though I must admit I would have liked to see at least 1 picture of a wild animal. Better for you to be safe than sorry though. :D

Still working on getting a picture of a wild animal. Its tricky on a Spyder. In a car, its too easy! With wild bears, if they have cubs, they get away from you quick. If they don't have cubs, they might think you're road kill. Not good. The bison on the other hand, can get grumpy fast. Not even cars stop to take their pictures. Deer and moose run out in front of you. Dealing with the breaks instead of the camera.

Tomorrow we should be seeing some Big Horn Sheep. Heard they are as complacent about traffic as the bison, but not as damaging to your vehicle.;)

:2thumbs: that is so neat that you guys met.

That was the wildest thing! Though we would meet along the road at a gas station or something. Dave and Helga had spotted us trolling through Fort Nelson. When we got out of the hotel, what a nice surprise to meet them out by Spydee. Great people! The more you get around, the smaller the world gets.:2thumbs:

I like the State Farm insurance commercial with the guys in the car when the Bison decides to investigate. :roflblack: I can understand why you wouldn't want that to happen while on your Spyder.

:agree: :roflblack: Sitting on Spydee, looking sideways, I saw their belly. They're Big critters!

Fort Nelson to Dawson's Creek, B.C.

The scenery and roads was great coming down except no wild critters today. Mostly like the forest / grassy road in the picture earlier. The only difference was we were in and out of rain showers. Not heavy enough to put on the rain gear, we would dry out before the next shower hit. Just enough to keep us heading down the road efficiently.

It started looking dry again 50 miles before Dawson's Creek. The forest is changing to farm land.

The bottom of The Alaskan Highway.

Looks like the forcast is getting better the further south we get.

Almost 8,000 miles that's fantastic. I have a funny video of our encounter with bison in Yellowstone but there are a few expletives that I can't delete so I won't share it. We were in bumper to bumper traffic and the bison wanted to get to the other side of the road. They get what they want!

I got to tell you this is one of my favorite trip documentations ever. You go girl. :2thumbs::bowdown::firstplace:

yes, No. 1 choice for the next Super spyder ambassador !:ohyea:
So true. I look forward to your posts and pictures every day. This is what owning a Spyder is all about. Following your dreams for a trip of a lifetime. I, for one, would love to see BRP give recognition to ryders that have accomplished and posted up trips like this and Dudleys. Maybe something for them to do at Maggie Valley........
BRP, ARE YA LISTENING?????????????

We were trying very hard not to become a bison stastic. On the road we were on, even the semi's give them a wide berth. Hope your vehicle came through o.k.

At least you lived to tell the tale. And he stuck his Tongue out at you too!! Not a good feeling!!! :yikes:

Glad you're enjoying the ride. Everyday is a new adventure. :2thumbs:

Lamont, it was pretty much just like your video!
:shocked::shocked:

Where are you folks headed now that your well back into Canada. Big change on the scenery--isn't it?

Huge change of scenery! Not better than Alaska or worse... just different. Nice in it's own way. :D

Hate to tell you this but the only way to make Maggie Valley (which I Really would like to do...) is to cut this trip short and head east that-a-way. Wouldn't want to leave my riding buddy to go home alone... :doorag:

Does anyone know what the record is for views to a thread? Are we there yet?

There's been alot of threads on Spyderlovers over the years. Some of them are outstanding! The one about selling the kickstand is one of my favorites! :2thumbs:

Dawson Creek, B.C. to Jasper, Alberta

Had more sunny times than rain today.

A river outside Dawson Creek.

Going on down the highway.

Been looking for critters, but haven't seen any yet...

Jasper National Park, Alberta

Drove us nuts not finding any critters.

Found what happens to Bad Bears.

Look what we found up in the hills! (Will try to find their name and edit it in.)

Also found some elk. One got a little too curious about Hubby and the whole group of vehicles departed quickly.

We finally made our way to Japser.

Proud we got our critter pics! Looking for more tomorrow...

As always, awesome pics and story. And I worry about squirrels running out in front of me .:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

:2thumbs: and :congrats: on getting the critter pics.

Thanks for indulging those of us who asked for them, and glad to hear it didn't cause you any harm.
