• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tire update. Just for info, not starting a discussion or argument.

Some info to add into the mix on tires.

I just got three new tires from Netzley tire.
On the front, Derick installed two Kumho Solus KH16.
On the rear, a Cooper MASTERCRAFT LSR Grand Touring.

I've only got about 90 miles on them so far.
On the back roads, the Spyder responded much better than with the Kendas.
On the highway at speed, the Spyder handled like it was on rails.

I'm looking forward to the Spyder Clutter in New Holland PA.

I don’t think it was pointless. He was sharing info that others might find interesting.

Yes Mazo EMS2, just sharing information for others to use as they wish.
This is why I don't post much on this forum anymore.
Another a$$hat I have to put on my ignore list.

So fwiw we are doing our best for valuable members like you to want to come back and post. We will and are giving vacations including permanent bans to those that made this forum less than friendly and not what Lamont intended when he started the site. All the mods hope to see you and others post more.

Well I suppose it's just another example of taking something in the wrong context, but in any case...my reply was only pointing out that you weren't looking for discussion or argument.

The greater question is what was the reason for pointing it out? Simply move along or thank for the post and everyone’s fine. Hopefully no one is posting for the sake of argument.

I for one, appreciate it when those who ditched their Kendas for another tire give us their impressions. Its obvious that the Kendas are problematic, to say the least and I wonder what possess BRP to continue using them. Two brands top the list of replacement car tires and some day, I will be making my choice, so post on all you who have made the switch and I will gladly read your comments.

I hope you understand at this point no one took it in the wrong context. It may be one that you didn’t intend but the context was clear.

Ok I’m done, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

It's all good here. A simple mis-understanding. Everyone involved is OK.

And yes, we are bending over backwards to make this an informative and friendly site. A few trouble makers have been given vacations and the BS level has been diminishing.

We welcome back those who have felt bad about what some say and do. We ain't perfect, but we are working on it.

LeftCoast, from another perspective, I did take Mazo’s post in a different context, so maybe the context is not as clear as you think it is. I thought it was just a humourous comment on not starting a discussion. We do need to be careful that we are not offended just “because we can be”, and without looking at a comment from different perspectives ;)

Fair enough, and thanks for the feedback, posting can leave a confusing implication sometimes.

Absolutely......and I can understand completely how you read it the way you did. English is a language that lends itself to misinterpretation. Anyway....as you said earlier....back to the tyre non discussion :2thumbs: ... so what size were the tyres? :ohyea:

Hi ThreeWheels,

I am also running the Kumho Solus KH16s on my 15 RT in the 155/60 R15 size and have run a couple of sets on our Rts. We traded the wifes RT-S at 44,000 so not sure the longevity, but the ryde and handling as well as the balance with less weights was good. As always its good to know the sizes as we dont have Netzleys out here, but we can and could source the Kumhos and Cooper tires; its good to hear that there are choices out there. Right now we are running the General Altimax RT43s on the rears in the 215/60 profile and other than the good ryde, like the correction of speed to due to the slightly taller tire (greater circumference). YMMV

These are the tire sizes. Sorry for any confusion.

Kumho Solus KH16 Front Tires 175/55/15. These tires seem about an inch wider than the OEM Kendas. The Kendas had started to cup.
Cooper Mastercraft LSR Grand Touring rear 215/60/15. This replaces a Kumho Ecsta I had tat was wearing out.

If I remember, I'll post back in about a month with more impressions.
