Tire Mileage?

I am a coast to coast tourer and would like to know about the tire mileage once folks get enough miles ridden to really see what a good average expectancy would be. At this point I am a little concerned about tire replacement since some dealers might not sell enough Spyders to keep a stock of tires around.

Tyre life:

Talked to a rep the other day and they expect that the (Average) ryder (sic) should see approx 30,000 mi or 50,000km of wear on a set.

That is great news if true as I spend $$$ on my bike tires at 7-8k miles.

That is impressive and should put my mind at ease since any coast to coast tour would be much less than those numbers.
