• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Time for KOTT Grills

I just finished up a five day loop around the Great Plains. I stopped in South Dakota and discovered I may need to move KOTT Grills up on my want/need list.

Your a better man than I, I would have found a hose or car wash some where to wash those grills some how!!!:yikes:

That's disgusting! I installed them on my 2015 RT-S and they were one of the first things to add to my bride's 2021 Sea to Sky. The only thing I can think of that might be better would be a pair of levitating bug zappers that would stay two feet or so ahead of each air intake on the Spyder.

Just be aware the KOTT grills are not the "end all be all" to keep radiators bug free! I don't remember for sure but I think I had them installed when I made a caddy corner trip across Iowa a few years ago. My front end looked as bad as yours, if not worse. Anyway, I ended up having to take the frunk off so I could pressure wash the radiators from the back side! And they still did not get 100% clean. Grasshoppers can disintegrate when they hit the screen and their small body parts go through and get stuck in the radiator.

I went to a self-serve car wash later that day. The grasshoppers were extra crispy so a good portion of them just wiped off. I hosed down the rest as best as I could. It was not pristine but clear enough so I was able to wash with more detail when I got home.

I get that people want to stop the bugs, but don't the extra grills just stop the bugs a little farther forward? Plus the extra mesh must restrict at least a little airflow....Now, instead of having one set of grills to clean, you have 2....maybe I'm looking at it all wrong?

Yeah, that’s why I haven’t bought KOTT grills yet, Idaho. I assume they aren’t too hard to remove for cleaning of both them and the OEM grills, but seeing the KOTT install process, I’m not sure. I need to make my mind up soon though……summer is only a couple of months away.;)

This is what I am thinking… bug parts are still going to get past the Kott grills so you have to clean them, and then remove them to get to the radiator grills to clean those. So far I have just had to vacuum out the main grill area on my 2021 RTL.
But I do like the look of the extra grills with the Spyder or RT designs on them.

The KOTTS Grilles were one of the first three farkles I put on my Spyder. The first time I removed them at about 45K miles I was amazed at how many bugs DID NOT make it to the radiators. No, they are not perfect, but nothing is. The thing I like about them is they're right out front where you can easily see them and flick off the mess. More important IMO is that with a liquid cooled engine air flow through the radiators is a preride check, every ride.

I have the grills, on my 2014 RTS-SE6.

The grills were added on 9/11/2016.

The grills I have are stainless steal , and on one side has a spyder, and the other side is a R/T.
