• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Time for a new Avatar

Well, I decided to jump to the RT, and put my RS on the block last Saturday. I posted it on Craigslist, had a call within two hours, and sold it for my full asking price… Thought I would wait until next spring, and look at the '11s, until I spotted Rogers near new RT S - she'll be on the truck West next week.

Roger helped me jump through a number of hoops, and his dealer (HK in New Hampshire) was terrific - going so far as to make sure the DPS recall was completed before the RT shipped!!

This was a cross country deal: New Hampshire to Oregon, but it seems to be working - thanks all! Soon I'll be enjoying Fall on my new (to me) RT S SE5 - but, I guess 1,500 miles is still pretty new…..

Going to miss the performance of my well farkled RS, but can't wait for the comfort of the RT - I just couldn't get there on the RS...

See ya on the road.......

Dragonrider You have bought a very nice bike. I was there when Roger bought it. H,K, Powersports is a great dealership. That bike will be in A1 condition when they ship it. I have to drive almost 2 hours to get there from where I live and it's worth it. No problems with my RT. Ride and enjoy.:congrats:

Thanks for the positive feedback!! Any comments about likes/dislikes would be helpful.

Winter projects: ESI scuff guards/tour pegs, ISCI hand brake, egg carton intake insert, probably a Corbin seat, and engineer a way to use a folding Goldwing antenna.... (never could leave a bike alone....)

:congrats: on your new :ani29: adventure!
So far as likes/dislikes . . . . you'll have to ask someone else about the dislikes cos we have only likes . . . .

We just put on 1600 miles on our RT in 5 days of vacation riding this past week and it performed flawlessly! Last year (before Spyder on our 1500 Suzuki) our range was limited because the brain can withstand no more than the backside can endure.

Yesterday, we put on about 360 miles, through some of the most beautiful back country roads and thrilling (errrr, sphincter tightening) downhill twisties that would have been challenging on 2 wheels.

Have fun and ryde on!!!!

After gettin' off the GS yer gonna have to slow down a bit in the twisties. Also yer gonna miss that 6 hp they took out. Yer body will thank you every mile. Mine does, but I do miss the performance of the GS:congrats:---Budro

:congrats: On the new RT! I hear they are awsome machines. I'm just not done rattin around with 14 yet! I'm havin a blast so I reckon I'll stay put on model for now. But you can't help but like the style of that RT. I bet it's gonna be a pleasure cruise too! Good for you man! :2thumbs:

BTW, I guess a new avitar is in order Sir! LOL!!

Well - I talked to Russ @ HK, and found out that the DPS change is complete, all of the service memos completed, and the RT S is ready to ship. Sometime between now and Friday, she'll head West - this is going to be a looooong 10 days !!! :ohyea:

I can't say enough about HK, and the service they provided, including a stunning deal on a BEST warranty (won't leave home without one....)

I've attached a pic of the Black Beauty - and will update the Avatar, after I actually get to sit on her....

Departed NH on Friday, due in Oregon on 10/6.

I already have some new farkles for it, the handbook, spare key, and should have the title and license taken care of, before it arrives… anticipation?? :D :2excited:
