A little story to tell...
I have had a throttlemeister (TM) for about a year now...was installed at my dealership perfectly!
A few months ago when I had the update done and ESI's handlebar risers put on (and I love them...if you don't have them...get them!), the tech must've had to take out the TM and reinsert it...
Anyway, it didn't work properly from that time on...just wouldn't hold the throttle anymore! I figured I'd get used to it but simply put, it wasn't working...as I later found out, the brass ring (the part that moves and creates the friction on the throttle) was pulled out and not working...duh...the tech did something...:yikes:
I called Throttlemeister and spoke with Fred. Once he helped me get the TM off of the bike (was really on there tight), I sent it back...he fixed the O rings, gave me a new bolt, and cleaned it up...there was apparently a lot of locktite (sp?) on it from the tech...
I got it back last week and Fred helped me install it today (pretty easy to do, actually).
Just wanna give a shoutout for a good guy at a good company. I know there are plenty of options out there for mechanical cruise options, but the throttlemeister is a really great device and they stand behind their product. I am very happy with how I was treated and am very grateful to Fred. I recommend their products.
