• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

THIS IS WHAT BRP SHOULD BE DOING

i didn't realize BMW came out with the 1200 in '14. I was really hyped up on the 1600 GTL and they had a slew of issues early on. Great looking bikes with electronics galore....

As I see it..!!

they would if they had BMW's problems. Theirs is more of a comfort problem and less of a safety issue. They are trying but could work faster and do better for sure...jmo

I think Research & Development has been replaced by "customer testing" in order for vehicle company's to improve their BOTTOM LINE on their profit & loss statements !!!

i had the 2013 k1600 gtl and was lucky not to have any problems with it, but a friend of mine had one and it was in the shop more times than he rode it. all bmw did with him was to just keep fixing it until he traded it in for another bike. here is the one i had DSC01216.jpg

Love that bike cuz....was going to trike it as hannigan has a nice kit for it....

Glad to see BMW step up to the plate quickly.

I was also intrigued by the KL1600, but did not bite the bullet. I am to short for those German machines.

So far, been lucky with all five BRP :spyder2:'s. Would continue to be a customer were I in the market for another three wheeled steed.

BMW

If my left leg worked better, I'd still be riding my RT. It's a shame the way BRP treats there customers. My BMW service dept was top notch. If they kept it I got a loaner! ah the good old days.

I've owned bikes for 30yrs and never heard of boiling gas either. Must be on Harleys.:roflblack:

Spyderbandit, You should really do some research before you post....just sayin'.
Its happened to all brands at one point or another, one bike or another.
Your 30 years of non-boiling gas must be on Schwinns.
How would research help with the fact that he has never heard of boiling gas, before? He didn't say it doesn't boil . . . he just said he had never heard of it . . . :banghead:
