I just purchased a new Akrapovic exhaust the other day and decided to install it myself. Well after finally getting the stock one off, (I had to finally cut the bolts off) I picked up the AK Silencer and started to lower it and...... FUMBLE!!!!! It hit the floor and needless to say, I now have a damaged tip. I went ahead and finished the install.
The next morning I called the dealer, and BRP and they do not have a replacement tip or repair kit for carbon Fiber. Ive been on line trying to find a service number for Akrapovic and have not found one yet. The tip got a small hole on the top edge of the tip and the edge is starting to crack open. Any Ideas?? I am now thinking of using High temp silicone. They also have a muffler wrap for Motorcycle exhausts that a lot of Harley riders use to black out their bikes. What I was hoping for is a new tip. For being the Top Shelf best of the best Silencer, you would think they would at least have a customer service number.
