• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thinking of moving to The Villages in FL - Any Spyder Service places nearby?

I watched a lot of the videos, but I need the CT river to jet-ski on and the backroads to zoom around! If you don't mind the Florida heat, you're fine.

Seminole Powersports in Sandford, FL. Excellent service dept, but not cheap. Last Fall they were at $159/hr. :yikes: Tom :spyder:

I’m in The Villages. As Tango said, Seminole powersports is excellent. We also have Lucky U who is building a new facility & is going to start service on Spyders. Their service manager is one of the best motorcycle mechanics around central Florida. They’ve already started an oil change service, which I have scheduled for next week. $165 complete. I’m just supplying the magnetic drain plugs.

Also, if you’re moving here, we have a great club called The Villages Nomads. All motorcycles are accepted & we have a growing population of Spyders. Ride 2 days a week, Wed & Sat. Long & short rides. Nice people with over 100 active members. You can PM me if you like.

I get my Escape serviced at Key Scales Ford. I’ve been very satisfied.

Nearby you have Central Florida Powersports, Seminole Powersports, and Route 1 on the east coast.

As for The Villages, been there many times for cycling events. Sure has grown to be huge and now extends past the Florida Turnpike. As cool as it is for some, and their sales team has solicited my wife and I since around 2010, well before we could meet the minimum age requirement, the place still falls into that nice place to visit but wouldn’t want to live there.
Word is, great place for swinging seniors.

BTW, there is certainly some fun riding in the areas outside The Villages. The Russell Stover outlet is kickin with killer ice cream.

Great news. Exactly the information I was hoping for.
I also have an Escape. I'm thinking of getting a Stingray trailer and bringing my Spyder up and down the east coast doing the Snowbird thing.
If I get down there, we should try to connect.
Again, thanks so very much for your help.

I'm done. Thank you, Tango, PMK, and Ziggy for offering useful information.
I have what I came here for.
Moderators, please close this thread so this doesn't turn into a flame war with a bunch of stupid comments about The Villages.
