• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A little history.... I rode a 2010 rt se5 for about 2 years.... started thinking about the old riding days and traded for a Yamaha 1300 deluxe....then traded for a 2014 street glide special....( My wife said that I am a little ADD)..my wife can not ride the Harley due to back problems... looking at the 2015 rt se6....my Harley friends think I need to be committed to a local mental hospital......any thoughts?... words of wisdom?...

Harley has to go..

...in order to keep wife happy. Take that bit of wisdom from someone that has been married 60 years (Aug 14th). I also had a 2010 RT - - you will find a World of difference in the 2014-2015 models. As other have said "They hit a home run with these". September is fast approaching and the 2016's should be announced. All kinds of choices out there. Good luck with whatever direction you and your wife take re any new ride.

Since you already know the basics of these bikes; I'll say, "Welcome Back!", and let you start your shopping! :2thumbs:
Since 2014, there have been some very real upgrades to the RTs:
Engine
Transmission
Charging system
Cooling system

But... we've seen a recent upsurge in DESS problems. Are you going to wait until the end of September, and see what BRP is going to bring out for the 2016 model year?

Given that I just bought my first spyder (2015 RT-S SE6) a few months ago and really like it, I just have one thing to say --

Happy wife, happy life :clap::clap:

One of the reasons I went to a Spyder is because my wife felt more comfortable on it than my two wheelers...especially as the arthritis in my legs got worse. If you want to keep your wife as a riding partner, go back to the Spyder. The new triples are fantastic.

You have been around the block a bit on this.

The new 2014's are a whole new ball game. Quieter, more torque, better gas mileage by 10 mpg, and lower maintenance. A test drive will show it all.

Advice: keep the wife happy and don't let your HD buddies ruin your experience.

Let us know what you do. :yes:

Choices choices..!!

Too bad your not deciding for yourself. :banghead: regardless of what bike you ride take the wife on a test ryde of the new RT's and decide together. If that doesn't work the decision becomes .... All yours...:thumbup:
