• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thinking about trimming the herd

Well, the more I look at the F3T, the more I become attracted to it. So, I just contacted a well known dealership mentioned on here to see what type of deal I might could work trading my 2014 RT and my 2012 RSS in on a 2016 F3T or Limited. Not 100% sure which way I will go, but if the deal is right, and I can get ok from the boss, I might be making a move.

Well, best of luck to ya boss on both approvals.

I have not found a dealer hungry enough to offer the deal that the boss will approve.

Hey, maybe I should use the old, "It is easier to ask forgiveness later than permission sooner" rule?:shemademe_smilie:

I have tried that too many times. In order to keep the peace, I have learned to atleast mention it to her first and say I am thinking about it. She knows that when I think for very long, I take action.

Been wondering when u were going to combine the speed of the RSS and the comfort of the RT, since I think u were the only one piloting your bikes. Hope all goes well with the Boss. I am the same way with Pebbles. She knows if I start talking about buying something, Im gonna get it.

She should be happy...unless it is her ryde your trading in...:roflblack:
Well, I said that I bought the RSS for her so that she could ride with me. But I think we all know that I purchased it for myself;). Considering I cannot get her on that bike for anything, I don't think she would mind me getting rid of that one. My biggest concern would be her comfort level on the F3T vs. the RT. She doesn't ride very much, and is in good shape, but any discomfort would discourage her from riding.

If keeping her comfortable is a major concern: The RT's bucket seat is about your best choice!

...Unless you go to an aftermarket seat! :D

It only works if you are willing to accept the consequences of forgiveness.:lecturef_smilie: I have found over the years that it works a lot better if I can get my wife to take the lead and be in charge. Worked very well on getting the 2014 RTL and the 2017 Tri-Glide.

I was looking at the F3T. Pebbles took one look at the seat and said no effin way. Bought Cocaine instead. At least I still ride an RT like my hair is on fire.

I am thinking she will be dis-appointed with the comfort level on the F3T verses the comfort level on the RT.. Probably not gonna go your way. Just my two cents worth.

If you go with the 2017 F3 Limited she will be comfortable, it has a large backrest and extra storage.

Or go with a 2016 F3 T or LTD and add the box/backrest

Well, I heard back from the dealer today. Got a great offer on trade in for my RSS, but not so much for the RT. Still looks like a pretty good deal, but I think to keep the wife happy, I will have to hold off for a while.
Unless someone wants to make me a good offer on a 2014 RT with 20 months of warranty left;).
