There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Thinking about purchasing a Spyder

I was hoping I could get some Feedback on a possible purchase. I'm looking at a 2013 ST SM5. It has 1800 miles on it. The guy will sell it to me for 10,500. Is that a good price on that machine? Thanks for the help :)

Thanks. I'm debating between an ST and a RSS. They are about the same price. I want something for commuting to work about an hour each way.

Has this bike had the update done to it yet?
They added scoops to the bodywork...

(Note them on the bike on the right),
And also added some heat attenuation efforts...

The price seems pretty good!

STS

Great price on a wonderful machine.
I bought my STS SM5 in late Oct with 1700 miles and 2 years left on the BEST warrantee.
The warrantee transfers at no cost to the buyer.
Paid close to the same.

I think that is a pretty good price. As stated above, I would check to see if the heat issues have been taken care of. compared to the RS, I would suggest the ST for commuting over rs because of the increased wind protection and more upright riding position. But I am saying that because I am in the 49+ age group with some back issues.:D:shocked:

I'm no spring chicken. The more upright seating position would be nice.

Based on the pictures from the dealer, the side panels have not been replaced for the heat issues. The 2014 side panels have air inlet scoops and replace the side panels on the 2013
ST models. This is all on BRP, not the owner! Make sure the dealer gets this done before you take possession of it. BRP supplies the 2 panels to the dealer and they pay the dealer for
about 1.5 hours of labor. I know, it had to be done to my Spyder. Price sounds good!
Good luck!

Try to ride both to decide which will work best. If nothing else, spend some time sitting on them. The ST and RS are very similar but do have a few noticeable differences.
The biggest differences are wind protection, suspension, and foot position. If your into windshields the ST is for you, but plenty of shields are available for the RS too. The ST has your feet a bit more in front of you while the RS has your feet more under you. The RS stock seat is horrible, but the ST stocker is pretty good for what it is (they are also interchangeable) The RSS already has the upgraded front shocks while the ST is going to feel more mushy with much more noticeable sway (also interchangeable/upgradeable). The RS is a few lbs lighter so it is a bit quicker. The ST "feels" bigger when sitting on it as the front upper fairing is bigger.

They are both great machines but spend some time and choose what fits you best. Good Luck[emoji106]

I found the difference between the ST and RSS will be your riding position for the most part.. Which ever fits your style and your posture best should be the best argument for purchasing one or the other.. My wife has a ST and fits her fine..Yes the 10k price is a great buy.. Good luck with your choice..:(:sour:;)
