• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Spyder is certainly not a Honda - but the reliability sure would be nice! Still not switching tho!!

I love my 2021 RT Limited, which is the 3rd Spyder I've owned. But these things were not designed for ease of maintenance. It shouldn't take 3 hours to change a spark plug on any vehicle. If you dare to take them to a dealership for maintenance, be prepared to be disappointed in the customer service/support area, as well as being overcharged for anything they do. Most Spyder dealerships will sell you a Spyder, but they hate having to work on them! Certainly don't ask them any questions about the Spyder, because other than the brochure highlights, they will likely have very limited knowledge. The other big brands of motorcycles do a way better job of service after the sell. These are just my experiences from dealing with many different dealerships in the 7 years I've owned Spyders. So good luck to everyone is about all I can say. If you find a good service department, stay with them, cause they are few and far between.

If you look on nhtsa.gov there is a technical bulletin relating to the steel cables. They changed over to a stainless steel set which is what they fit on newer machines.

Some people have managed to persuade their dealers to fit the updated kits, apparently as a courtesy, depending upon their relationship with the dealer.

Anyway, the technical bulletin explains the kit.
