• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Silver Bullet

Well, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. Just happened to be sooner. Dealer had a "Godfather" deal I just could not refuse. So, tonight the Bare Bone Silver Bullet is resting in the place of our Old Faithful 2008 SE5 that so courageously carried us over 43,000 flawless miles in 23 months. Seems like our SE5 knew that today was our last tide. Going 70 miles to the dealer this morning it gave us such a wonderful ride. I had to really pay attention to keep it no more than 80 mph. It just wanted to RUN! We hope that the Silver Bullet will be as reliable, and even more fun.

:congrats: Hope you enjoy the change as much as we do!!! The RT slowly grows on you, and my SO thinks it's the best bike we've ever had... (Hmmm, memory loss??)

Any who - stay safe and enjoy..

:2thumbs: Congratulations Dudley and Jennifer on your new purchase.
I hope that this new unit serves you as well as the first.
Now you'll have to fill in those other states on your map this coming spring. :ohyea: Maybe we'll see you for Spyderfest in Cuba, MO

Jennifer and I took a 250 mile ride yesterday on the RT. It was filled with varying speeds, shiftings, etc. We rode mostly on mountain 2-lane roads and other kinds. Jennifer was very pleased with the comfort the RT affords her. The angle of the seating arrangement on the SE5 had just gotten very aggravating for her and her sacroiliac was giving her a lot of pain sleeping or getting out of bed. No longer. (We had not ridden the SE5 since we sealed the deal on the RT on Sept. 30th so the time had helped the sacroiliac to rest). The MPG was almost 30 +/-. MPG is not a major concern if it doesn't get ridiculously low. As of this moment, and I know I will adjust, I prefer the posture on the SE5. After some more miles I will find the right groove on the RT. I found out on the day we picked up the RT that it's not that bare bones...I have heated hand grips and cruise control!!! Two very useful items!

That's one thing I wish my RS had... cruise control.

Glad to hear that you and Jennifer are enjoying your new ride. Now is it a SE5 also or is it a manual?

Now when are you bringing that bad boy by here?? Our friends in Oakley have an orbital blue RT A&C SE5.
