• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The new faring for the Can Am Spyder

So, we've seen a company called HPConcept that is making farings for about 1300 complete with marine grade stereo and four speakers. Has anyone seen this, bought this?? What are your thoughts?

Oh and sorry Michael and I have been MIA. :( Things here got bumpy for a while. We're back in the saddle again tho. ;)

From the pics on their pic gallery looks nice. Painted to match:ani29: would be better than just left factory black

Worth looking at IMO.

Always like seeing new accessories for these spyders. If I still had my spyder, I would certainly look into this one.

That DOES look pretty...
Unfortunately it only makes the question become, "At what point should you have bought an RT instead?" :dontknow:
sorry!

Bob, you're right. My biggest concern was ... is this that guy Marcel by any chance. These folks are out of Canada, they say.
I have Shark that I installed on my bike. It's not factory looking but.. it doesn't take over the whole front either. And, the 600watts make it easy to hear with my full face on when I have to wea it. :)

The first notice I received about this was from Martin Provencher on my Facebook page. He was looking for comments about it. This one is different than the one shown in the link above, as it has 4 speakers, and is using a MS-RA200 Fusion stereo system. The first set of pictures showed it with an ultra touring windscreen on it, and I didn't really care too much for that set up. I asked if they could put the stock windshield on and provide measurements, and I like that a whole lot more. Here is the link to the photo album on FB: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150375060172262.369064.58923932261&type=3 and 1 stolen picture from there.

From the front that windshield looks better. But, from the cockpit it's.... wonky.:hun: They need to have a shield fabricated to fit it better. I think they're trying to keep the sportiness of it by using the smaller one. And like I said from the front it's okay. From the seat it looks like an afterthought. I know. Picky picky.

The fairings look pretty good--but for that price I would also recommend looking at the Corbin fairings. They make the :spyder2: look a bit "spacey" but it grows on you. I had one on my 2008 GS. Pictures in my 2009, 2010 Alaska Gallery.
