• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Thank you Squared Away

This weekend, Joe and Ann of Squared Away visited the Phoenix area and set up shop in the garage of a Spyder owner and member of Spyder Riders of America - Superstitions Chapter (Thank you Jack). Today, I finally got to meet Joe and Ann in person, and can attest that they are two very lovely and charming people. I also got to meet quite a few new people, many of which are members of SpyderLovers. I wish I could remember everyone's names.

Today, I give testimony that Joe and Ann are two superb craftsmen. I was not a believer of what I considered the "Laser Alignment Myth", but after riding a liittle over 20,000 miles on my slightly misaligned machine, I can say that the minor adjustment they made on my alignment is noticeable.

As a bonus, after owning my Spyder for nearly a year without ever riding with another Spyder, I rode home with two other Spyders (Mike and Vivian).

All in all, it was a great day. Got aligned. Met some other Spyder owners. And even got a Cat Bypass installed. :dg1:

Thanks for posting. I will be hosting an alignment party in June. Looking forward to seeing the difference it will make.

Ann is a jewel~ Joe, I'm not so sure about...

Just kidding. They are both great people who not only do a great job but are a service to the Sypder community. There are a lot of 'Squared Away' Spyders out there that would still be crabbing down the highway without their road trips.

Keep it up!

Pam it was a pleasure meeting you today. We really have a blast working on Spyders and meeting all the great people that own them.

And a big thank you you to Jack for hosting us.

BajaRon you crack me up and I agree, I'm not so sure about Joe either. We installed one of your bars yesterday and will be doing two more tomorrow.

I was also skeptical and did not endorse or talk about the "Laser Alignment Myth." Ann & Joe also made me a believer. Linda said it felt like she had a brand new :ani29: in the first block or so.

Its real, and it works--if done by competent people. Ann & Joe are the best.

I suppose it went something like this like when they visited us in OC, Ca.?

:)

Yeah, pretty much....

Me...... I went there with the attitude that my alignment was just fine and I wouldn't spend any money. It turned out that mine was slightly off and needed adjustment, so they went ahead and did the alignment. Then Joe dangled the Cat Bypass in front of my face, and I couldn't resist. :shemademe_smilie:

The day ended up costing me $400.00, but was well worth it! :bbq:

Going to get a new rear tire put on in a couple of months. Do i need to get another laser alignment done after tie is replaced? Just had it done by squared away at spyders on the bayou in March. Thanks Ann and Joe.

No you should be fine. Just don't let them mess with your axle adjusters.

Haha. Pam was thinking "I'm cool, not spending money, not spending money, not spending, oh look at that I want one. "

Short answer: Yes

New rear tire on my Spyder followed up by alignment done at Spyderfest. Not too far off, but needed alignment. No longer pulls to the Right.

Had mine done in SA couple years ago still tracks true. On 3rd rear tire RT43 and just replaced the fronts with RT43s as well.

Joe and Ann are great. I got "Squared Way" twice. Once in Tucson had the Spyder about a year. Then again at Spyderfest 2015. The 2nd time was necessary due adding adding the shock relocates and Elka shocks. The relocates raise the front end causing a 7/8" toe.

Woukd have been a 3rd time but the new 2016 was done when I purchased it

Our pleasure!

It is our pleasure to Square Folks Away! Thank you for your kind words. Our goal is to help people love to ride ! That, and be safe. From Alaska to Louisianna, we go where we are invited. It is such a kick to see people grin after a test ride, once they have been Squared Away!
We try our best to make our friends happy - and so far, so good!! Cheers! Joe

Joe, any plans to come to Minnesota?

Pheonix alignment party

I also participated in the Phoenix alignment party. It was all good. People asked about the Rivco rack and I studied the alignment process and had to be moved by Joe at least once. Spyder handled great on the high speeds in the middle of Nevada. I'm not sure but I don't think the NHP care much unless you over 80 MPH.
