There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. T-Rex

I just found out that a new Manager who transferred to Detroit owns a 2012 T-Rex that is down in Dallas still. I volunteered to drive it to Michigan. He actually said he might take me up on the offer since he claims he doesn't have the time. I made the mistake of telling him about uship.com since he would prefer to not put miles on it but have it trailered. His decision and wait time is going to kill me!

If you do, be really, really careful. I tried to buy one a year or two ago and couldn't even get an insurance quote... from any company.

One of the agents told me that they flip rather easily and that claims are horrendous. Just repeating.

Curious about flipping - they really don't do that easily. Easier to flip a pickup. But insurance is very high. Cost of repair is very high. And people who are inexperienced driving high powered vehicles have a bad habit of crashing.

High priced insurance is because of the high value of the bike...
Flipping?? The agent is ignorant and just touting the company line... :gaah:

you had be begaleged for a while here is a t rex how would it be easy to flip.???then i remered trex car.:yikes::thumbup:

My take on the t-Rex is they're pretty cool-but very impractical and dangerous. You sit VERY low to the ground---think go-cart. Not only is your visibility on the road bad, your ability to see others is diminished. While it might sound fun to drive one that far Rando------I would think twice about it-especially on the interstates with all the semi traffic. They're gonna have a hard time seeing you.

Hmmmm, don't remember anyone suggesting a T-Rex was practical.

However, driving interstates is actually quite nice in a T-Rex. In town is scarier by a long shot. If you actually had one you would know this.

It is always silly to drive next to big rigs, but you get much more buffet on 2 wheels or Spyder than you get in T-Rex. I have found that the professional drivers are mostly more curtious than other drivers.

Always try to keep a safety zone around you - just like you should with any motorcycle. When you are caught in traffic where you can't maintain a safety zone, you should ride about 3-5 mph faster than traffic. (Being stagnant in traffic is where people don't see you.) And always be cautious of being in others blind spots.

One bad part is the people that race up next to you to look and take pictures. They can be dangerous because you never know what they will do.

Apparently it's nothing more than a trophy vehicle. He has only driven it once so he wants to get it to Michigan inside of an enclosed trailer.

Understandable to want to have it trailered. It's a shame if he doesn't get out and ride it - but to each his own :doorag:

I've driven one... in town and on highway. Fun.. but I felt far more 'invisible' to others than on the Spyder and thus less safe. Probably because you sit so low.. just feels like you're not well seen. Certainly a fun drive.

So, I see "T-Rex" and immediately think: "Bang A Gong"..... :opps::opps: :roflblack:

Me too!
Some pretty strange music came from those boys... :2thumbs:
