• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Swaybar question...

Hello guys,

I received my new performance swaybar - red :D .... question...are the inner holes meant for the stiffest setting, I believe 30% stiffer?

If so, just curious, what % is the outer holes?

Thanks in advance...

I always thought the inner holes were 30% stiffer than the outer holes. I didin't think it was in relationship to the OEM sway bar.

Oh, I must have misread...sorry, don't mean to put out wrong info...but its still 30% :p ...LOL

 That is what I am hoping.... based on what I have read, and just as you have said...I am excited to get it installed..

I bookmarked a page on the install...loosen top bolts and take out bottom bolts on frunk and move the bottom of the frunk out just enough to do the work...if totally wrong, please chime in and straighten me out :p

Another member was selling them...MRB

Here is his reply to a post I made.. When I purchased it was 245 AUS ... but I would check with him in case there has been any changes since my purchase...

"As I just posted on the other thread, I still have stock of them if you want one but when they are gone they are gone.[email protected] "

Goodluck...they are going to be rare... probably will keep stock one after I remove, just in case I ever change to another RS ;)

The difference brought on by the link positions is strictly a matter of the difference in lever lengths from the long (torsion) part of the bar to the hole. There is certainly not a 30% difference in those lengths, so the comparison has to be to the original bar.

Sorry... yes all gone now.:(

Mine got here 2 days ago....thanks MRB!

Very excited about the install but need to wait for warmer weather. I want to run it thru my 'test corner', bring the air pressure up to 19 - 20 #, test, adjust the shocks, test, then do the sway bar and test....maybe I'll see a steady pattern of improvement....or maybe I'll get a ticket for being 'not reasonable and prudent' ? :dontknow:

Indeed, according to the bar's manual, outside hole gives 10% stiffness increase, inside hole 30% increase over stock swaybar.

 Thanks for the info !!

Getting mine installed this coming Wednesday...nice hour trip to shop. Should be an exciting ride home :)

Mine was installed yesterday - but other mods being installed precluded me being able to test it yet. Not sure if it will be today or tomorrow as the weather in NW FL is calling for rain today and tonight. I have to arrange a ride over to Erags' house where we have been working on the spyder. Of course, Erags has done most of the work - and do I appreciate it. Can't wait to try it out. Will post a report after I get to ryde.:yes:

You will notice a definite difference ...of course, Erags installed ours around the time we switched to the 2011 RT shocks so it was hard to tell how much of the change in ride was due to each of the changes.

Well I rode an hour in light snow to get the swaybar and "advanced turn signals ( gotem off ebay )" installed today. People thought I was crazy... LOL ... The rodes were only wet...was watching the temperature on the gauge.

Anyways, will need more time...but off the bat it seemed to take less effort to turn and as some said it seems to turn on a rail ....

Will need to continue riding throughout the winter to see ( Gerbing gear rocks btw ):roflblack:
