• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pre 2020 RT owners - can you stand up while riding?

I was wanting to ask the same question. I have a 2020 RTL and I'm a newbie to the whole motorcycle riding experience. I'm a bigger guy, 6'1" and 275, and if I'm riding longer than 30/45 min, my hips start to kill me. When riding, I can kinda shift my feet around, but even that doesn't provide much relief. Was thinking that if I can stand up for a few seconds, would it actually help, or would I need to pull over and hop off. May look at adding highway pegs and see if that will help my big dupa also or just try to limber up my old man joints before riding. 20 yrs of EMS has done a number on my body.

What works for me, at a couple months shy of 79 years old, are floorboards on our 2018 F3 Limited. You can stand up or move your legs around. Mounting the machine is so much easier too.

Like others have said it does have to be done with some care and caution, but it is doable.
Absolutely, however, experiencing a high speed wobble will quite likely end your desire to stand up on the pegs again. Shaking the kinks out of your butt on a long trip is best done by pulling over and walking around a bit. I don't recall ever hearing about a high speed wobble on a 3 wheeler, but I did get into one on my quad by going too fast in the dirt. A series of bumps set it off.

Yes, get HWY pegs that are adjustable and not fixed, so you can move them around to your liking. It takes a while to get "your butt" molded to your seat. However, it will conform over time if you ride a lot. You may wish to avoid that break in time and opt for a custom built seat. In our last years here on earth, we shouldn't have to put up with sore butts. LOL
