There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yeah, I spent some time thinking on that one too. Since I did not have any means to lift the Spyder, removing it and marking the center and then re-installing it was not something I wanted to do. So, I got the measuring tape out and tried to find some kind of reference point on each end of the bar so that I could center it. The problem with that was, there was nothing I could use as a reference point. So, I centered it as best as I could "by feel". Using my hands to hold the bar at each bend, I was able to move the bar left and right until I felt it was centered. Seems to work, the Heim joint bolts are not hitting anything. Hey Ron, here's another reminder, put a center mark on your bar!
Otherwise I am completely and totally happy with it!

Unfortunately, it does not center itself. You have to manually center the bar and then "lock" it in place with two clamps, one for each side. The clamps prevent the bar from drifting to the right or left as the bar is doing its job.

The important thing, is to make sure that there is no metal to metal contact, between the anti-swaybar, and the end links...
Set it in place, and adjust lterally until you're "clean" on both sides... :thumbup:

Putting a 'Center' mark in the middle of the bar would not help accomplish the mission. Aligning the center of the bar with the center of the frame is not important. Getting equal, and maximum clearance at the ends of the bar is very important.
To accomplish this you need to move the bar left or right until equal clearance between the Heim Joint Links and the frame/A-Arm is achieved. Slight production differences and tight clearances make each Spyder unique in where your bar needs to be.
Don't bother centering the bar with the center line of the frame. The reference points are the Heim Joint Links attached to the ends of the bar, not the bar itself.
Maybe 'Centered' or 'Centering' is not the best terminology. Just not sure what to replace it with.

Not sure if this is too late, but how I centered mine was to lay the baja Ron directly on top of the stock bar on the floor. I lined up both end link holes and used the bracket locations from the old bar to transfer onto the new bar so it's in the same position when mounted on the spyder....

All you need is a rubber mallet and tap till both links look the same. By the way Ron looked today and after our last conversation and tightening the bushings and it has not moved a fraction of an inch since then nor made any sounds.:thumbup:

That is good news. I've been as busy as ever but I will get back to this as soon as I can. Our van went belly up and my wife is not real happy driving my dad's beater that we borrowed. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth but I need to get new wheels for her VERY SOON!

So when I got my sway bar in the mail I said to myself are you serious this thing looks like the same crapp I have on (here I was thinking Ron is selling sugar bar......like sugar pills......placebo' and maybe it's all in our heads). So I ignored the voices in my head and installed it anyways.
don't know why and I an done trying to understand why this sway bar makes such a huge difference.

- I did not recognize the spyder I was riding. Rides different.....better
- i think I will get in trouble cause my confidence level is up
- awesome stability on the highway (only thing missing was a better wind shield, sway bar does not come with one)

The difference is in the BajaRon pixie dust that is added to the powder coating that makes it perform so well.
