I am at the hospital for the night.i seem to be doing ok.No riding for 4 months, but I will be able to camp in the RV.
Of the spine.c4,c5.in my neck .I will be off the bike for 4 months
That is what my neurosurgeon says I need next. c2,c3,and4. The scary part is the front part is done through the mouth and the rest through a 6 inch slit from the skull to t2. I had a fellow Handball player that had it done. I am waiting as long as I can.
I looked into Lazer Spine and went to several of there seminars. I would prefer that as only a 1 inch incision is made. Medicare does not cover it. It is about $25,000 and is done in Scottsdale AZ. Others who have had it were quite pleased.
Good luck on the healing process, meanwhile stay on SpyderLovers and let us know how you are doing.
I'm glad all went well! I'm Fat Crip because I had C3/4, C4/5 laminectomy 10 years ago this month. Let's say it didn't exactly go to plan! I woke up totally paralysed from the neck down, able to breath, but not digest food. It took me nine months in Spinal Rehab to get back on my feet to hobble a few yards and seven years to get back to riding. I started with a quad, but moved on to a Spyder this year. My right side is still paralysed and my left still partly so. Unfortunately I regained the ability to eat, but not to exercise, hence the 'Fat' prefix lol
