2008 SM5 Hard shifting when warm - any ideas?

My 2008 Spyder is having some pretty major problems with shifting once it warms up. It feels like the clutch is slowly not doing its job as the engine warms up and gradually getting to the point of not engaging enough to even shift gears while riding. I've heard others say on the chats about the oil, the levels seem to be right so I dont believe it is that, but any help at all is very much appreciated. Thanks Brian

Have you checked the clutch fluid level? Has the fluid been flushed in recent years?

Have you tried doing clutchless up shifting when it's hot to compare with using the clutch at every up shift? If not try it and compare results/performance and report back.

Freddy has a good point. How far does your clutch lever go before you feel resistance? The clutch uses brake fluid which is hydroscopic (absorbs water). It should be flushed at least every 4 years if not more often. If it's been in there since 2008, well, you can see that might be your problem.

Old fluid can cause wear in the system. You might end up needing to replace some components. But a good flush is the best way to start.

Thanks Guys, I bought the machine around 4 years ago and I have never flushed the clutch fluid so I will try that first. It seems like it is an easy process. I will report back once its done and I have taken it for a ride! Brian
