Should there be a Warranty transfer cost?

Just purchased a 2023 Spyder RT Limited from a dealer. He says it has 7 months of warranty left on it. He says it will cost me $200.00 to get it transferred to me?!?

Is this right?

I'm not paying $200.00 for 7 months of warranty that I think should be still covered on the bike anyway.

I was always under the impression that BEST warranty (BRP) did NOT have a warranty transfer fee. If this is a different brand, there may be a fee. More information is needed.

It’s a 2023. Factory warranty is 24 months. So, you’re talking about the original factory warranty, right? A transfer fee is BS. This is so dishonest. An admin fee for transferring the Title and Registration is one thing, but not just for the warranty. Right out of the manual….

If the ownership of a product is transferred during the warranty coverage period, this limited warranty, subject to its terms and conditions, shall also be transferred and be valid for the remaining coverage period….
