• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Suks getting old

Man I pulled a muscle yesterday doing nothing but turning around to backup on the Spyder. It hurts as bad as when I tore my sternum. nojoke

I put a little heat on it last night and some rub and it did help but I can't move without making involuntary noises. Didn't sleep too good last night and I am a little better today and I hope I'm better by the time I head to Spyderfest or else I'm not going to make it. Man it suxs that a guy can't even twist his body and not be put out of commission. :banghead:

Consider going to get a massage. I slept wrong on my neck a week. Couldn't turn my head but a few degrees each way. Went through an hour of torture getting a massage - didn't feel that much better right away but the next morning was WAAAAY better.

Forest hit he nail on the head. Once it starts, no matter what age, it doesn't stop. Its downhill.

Sorry to hear about this Lamont, I know it hasta suck BIG TIME! I'm still recovering from back surgery from a ruptured disc about 3 weeks ago myself, & its not been fun as you can imagine:banghead: You've been given much advice here & I'll add my own. Stay away from Aspirin, you want Ibuprophin to help control swelling. Also, alternating heat & ice seems to work best for sprains & healing. Just using heat may feel good, but may cause issues without alternating with ice, seems to work best alternating both. If it doesn't start feeling better in a few days, as others have suggested, don't put off seeking medical intervention or it could get much worse:shocked: I hope your feeling better soon & can make it to SpyderFest :pray:Teddy & I will keep you in our prayers for a quick recovery

Sorry I didn't see this sooner, first 24 hours put ice on it for 20 minutes on many times. The muscel is inflamed and you want to reduce that. This helped my recovery sooner, oh and also take some cough syrup if it is that painful when you cough. Hope you feel better soon.

It may" suk" getting old, but it beats the :cus: out of any of the alternatives!
As my old man used to say, "Rub some dirt on it and go get me a beer." :roflblack:
But in the meantime; feel better!

As a SpyderLover nearing 70, I have to say the above is some of the best advice I have heard yet!

Hang in there Lamont, See Ya in Cuba !

I understand completely! Yesterday I simply changed directions while cleaning the beast and pinched something in my lower back. Been driving me crazy since...and I've got a race to work this week! Hope you're doing better!

Sorry to hear that Bro, hope you can work without too much pain. As you can see its keeping me up again.

Lamont,

I agree with the ice right after an injury.

Long story short, if ice/heat is not helping, check out a physical therapist that specializes in trigger point therapy.

I got lazy and waited to find my book on trigger points. After a week of hurting, even with applying ice and heat, I hit my trigger points last night and this morning and it is helping.

Sorry to hear about your back, Lamont, hope it gets better as quickly as possible.
I've had back trouble most of my life, finally picked up an inversion table - desperation move - never taken it beyond 30 degrees, 5 minutes every few days, works for me.

john

Sorry to hear about the back issues. It really is hard to be getting older. I have been in constant pain the last three months and nothing helps it. Shoulders, hips, knees, hands, etc. Hope you get better soon.
