• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Watched Pawn Stars and American Picker episodes (3 back-to-back) last night where the underlying story was about them going to Sturgis. They were pretty interesting. Anyway, while watching when the 1st scene of the downtown area came on screen showing all the bikes and bikers the wife ask me, "when are we going to go there?" :hun: :dontknow:

After a 2 or 3 second delay I replied, "next August. :thumbup:

Nope. Sorry girl. When you have it before or after sturgis. Count me in!! But I go every year for two weeks. The week before and the week of. I meet friends from all over the world there. It's like a big family reunion. Now... If you had it in mid July. I would just swing by Cali before heading to South Dakota. ;)

Oh well. We won't move it that far back into July because of the owner's event at the end of June. :-(

You will be missed, but I understand!
 
We keep talking about riding up that way on a trip to mammoth mountain. That's where the husband grew up. Maybe it will give him a push! Lol
 
Me either! His dad was a musician for Lawrence Welk. Lol and after he retired they owned a ski lodge up there. His family history is just amazing. Pics of him with John Wayne when he was a kid, dinner with Liberace, cast of bonanza hunting with his dad. It's just so odd for me to comprehend sometimes. He skis like a pro. Me, fall on my butt every time! Haha
If we ever plan that trip maybe y'all can make the trip up with us :)
 
I'm thinking of going. :) My company has a work trip in San Diego the week after Sturgis. So, I was thinking of heading over, staying a day or two then going down to San Diego and then checking out the southern half of the country on the way home. Some coworkers might be going, too. :)
 
We are going as well for our first time. Trying to talk 'management' into riding with me - adventures are always more fun with her. :shemademe_smilie:
 
I hate to sound even STUPIDER, ( is that even a word ) but have not been able to get mileage from northern Canada to Sturgis South Dakota, not even a gps link. Any ideas or thoughts. Thank`s
