• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stranded on hwy transmission out

Not saying it is right but 'some dealers' may see it as just another bike with a problem. What I wonder is. Would they react the same if it had two wheels?

I am one of the new RTLimited owners and am happy to report I hit 2 K miles over the weekend on it and am extremely happy with the performance. Just wanted to let folks know that there may be some issues but not widespread.

:clap::clap: Great to hear that! It's "nice" to get positive feedback as well as the issues we all read about! Thanks for taking time to report success!!!!:yes::yes:

my thoughts

wow if they are coming from canada i have a bad feeling they might know something about this problem, by the way did they say when

Will keep watching this situation. Bad reactions from the dealer and so far, good reactions from BRP. IMO: I don't think they are going to let issues with the 2014 become problematic. Two bad years in a row would not be good for the brand.

I went back and re-looked at the bluestratos link. The last post asked the question--so what is the outcome. I am guessing solved--because we have not heard any further.

I hope your issue is solved quickly.:popcorn::popcorn: (short term version)

Yes, sounds suspiciously like my problem. It started slipping after just a few miles but it was wet out so I thought I was spinning the back tire. It just kept getting worse until it would flare several thousand RPM on a shift. It turned out to be a bad O ring on the drain plug that allowed the tranny to drain back into the main oil reservoir. Been working great since. Good place for the dealer to look at to start with.

Good luck with it.

Thank you for posting this. Good information for sure. :2thumbs::2thumbs:

Dealership here in austin can't look at it for one whole week. Figures. Technician won't even speak to me personal said it was possibly solenoid a in the transmission. Gonna get some gear and head back home. Hopefully I make it

IF this is the dealer where you bought your Spyder, it should be a priority, and move to the front of the line. They should take a look and try and determine not only what is wrong, but is it safe for you to drive it back home! If it is not the dealer where you bought it they should do everything they can to at least access the situation for you and as stated above, is it safe for you to try and get it home?
It is all about the dealers! I understand how the dealers can sometimes get overwhelmed with service but there is no excuse for not trying to help in a situation such as this. They have Got to take care of the customers!

Sry guys on my phone and it's got a low battery. Limping it back home. Drove 90 miles with no issues then it started slipping again. Will type more when I get home. 100 miles to go. Brp said they r flying a technician down tomorrow. We will see. No error codes just slipping and Te rpms climb. Dealer said it may be a solenoid in the transmission. Not sure what they they were talking about. I didn't stay long since the technician wouldn't even come out of the bay to see my bike
