There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Stock back tire was so bad.

I just mounted a Falken tire. I was amazed how much weight was on the rim with the stock tire. I had to remove all of it and place a single one on the falken. And I hate removing the stick goo that is left after you pull the weights off.

I hear ya man. I also bought a Falkon after 3 OEM rear tires (yes, I'm a slow learner). Only got about 9,000 miles on each of the lame OEM rear tires. Have close to 10,000 miles on the Falkon and it looks like new!

Nice looking tire, I'm going for a new rear tire after the end of the season. Stock has 8100 and the center is getting thin.:)
Yeah the OEM rear tire is only a 2 ply so at highway speeds it lacks the sidewall strength to keep it from ballooning out in the middle. And that's what causes the wear to be in the middle. A 4 ply tire will give you the durability you want.

512, or 912?
I liked mine up until it got wore just about out... then. it didn't like water very much at all... :yikes:
It hydroplaned WAY worse than the OEM on me on a few too many wet days... :gaah:
But overall; I DID like the tire. I'd just have to remember to change it out a bit sooner.

Its a 912. Just use led weight. I only needed about 1/4 of ounce. I use a NO-MAR tire changer.

Yeah..!!

and clean up all those grubby finger prints.. Must be the lots on the stock tire. Ours has 13,000 miles and still has meat left. Have seen others who fared better and a lot with way less. I do push it hard and it has worked well. Now what to get when it goes..?? :dontknow:

It's my second Falken tire installed on my Spyder and I like this tire. With the Kenda OEM, i got only 9000 kilometers ( 5400 miles). After the Kenda scrap, I installed a Toyo Proxes 4 and it's also a very good tire like the Falken.

No more Kenda on my Spyder.

My stock kenda was gone in 2400 miles.

Both wheels and tires have heavy and light spots. I've always heard good mounting techs will try to get the heavy spots opposite of each other, so they don't have to compensate with a lot of wheel weights. Looks like the person who mounted your Kenda, didn't know, or didn't care.

WEIGHT FACTORS

I've wondered about this......do you think it's worth while to try and balance the wheel separately from the tire so it is correct, before you do the combination.? ? ?.......................and " rabtech ", is that balancer you have in the bottom picture the one from HARBOR FREIGHT....and if so do you like it ?????....Mike

Just put over 3000 miles on a KUMO and it looks brand new!!! Had OEMs before last one had 12,000 miles and REALLY worn out!!

Im sure its similar. I got this one from No-Mar with my tire mounting kit. It works perfect.

We have always put the bare wheel on the balancer first and made a mark on the light spot. Then coordinated that with the tire balance dot.

I recently put on the Toyo Proxes and really like it a lot. Just did a 1600 mile trip on it which included the dragon and it performed great.
