• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ST Adjustable Winshield Loose

SNOOPY

Anyone have an issue w the Winshield on an ST getting looser over time?

I have never moved it except to clean, so it can't be worn out, but it seems like the mechanism is getting looser and looser.

Not sure if other models have the same type mechanism and if there is a way to tighten up?

If you are asking about front to back wiggle then yes. At a recent ride I checked 5 ST's. 4 of them including mine wiggled. Does not bother me as I only notice it on an extremely rough road.

There are other threads on the ST windshield not staying up (and the fix for this). But all 4 of the wigglers were still adjustable for the 5 up/down positions.

Yes, the wiggle. Just afraid of how bad it might get over time.

Never really notice it while riding.

Our ST-Limited (2014) has the Ultra Touring windshield. It will no longer stay in the top position for very long. I have heard that BRP has a fix, but have not had time to get with my dealer yet.

moving windshield

I have the 2015 STwhich . I bought the tall touring screen for it . And After a few miles the windshield dropped to its lowest notch . And wouldn't stay up. I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow because they wouldn't take it back without at Last seeing if they could fix it. Besides, , They think the regulate one will eventually do it as well.

There is a heavier spring kit out now from Can Am to go with the larger windshield on the ST. I have it and ride six kilometers of rough road every day - so far so good. I did see elsewhere that it was a good idea on rough roads not to use the very lowest position?
