• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyderfest Registration

We got registered earlier today around number 73 or 74 it'll be our first Spyder Fest looking forward to a good time.

David and Mikki

Registered on the 1st but no Idea what number I got other than the order number the system spit out. Somewhere i thought I saw # 215 but not sure. Doesn't matter . This year plan to ride on the trips. Spent over 3K last year on upgrades and more.
Whats new this year is I now have a trailer to take home the goodies a lot easier. All the storage compartments were packed to bursting levels.
Had very good time last year even with the cops tring to give me a parking ticket. That just added a extra level of "fun" at the show. Hope they learned so no problems this year.

Just registered

I just registered #230.. First time to SpyderFest Looking forward to it!!! Will be riding from the Northern VA area. Anyone else going from this area?

Hey Radio,

Got six coming from NOVA. Four will be trailering and two have family to visit on the way. You riding all the way?

Hey everyone, the rally runs from April 26 to the 30th. What dates are people arriving for and leaving on. Not sure if the activities on the 26th are just registration later on, or if there is actually several organized events throughout the day. Also is everyone leaving on the 30th or on May 1st.
Has anyone else had any luck booking at the Best Western Coach house as it appears to be full already.

Good Morning and Happy New Year Everyone!

Registration for Spyderfest (Springfield, MO) is now open and they are offering VIP passes to the first 500. I was slow on the take and ended up number 2 but......1 or 500 doesn't matter. :D

Spyderfest.com is the site. Good luck and look forward to seeing many of you there.

It was filling up fast when I booked in Oct, you have to call, the whole hotel is blocked for the event but it's probably full. You can put your name on a waiting list. This will be my first trip but it's my understanding there is a dinner the last night so many people will stay till the end. Opening day at many of these events are set up for the vendors and registration.

I can't wait, I hear its a good event.:yes::yes: Just have to see for myself.

I called the Lamplighter this morning but figured they would be full, To my surprise they had my choice if either King or 2 Queens rooms. I took the 2 Queens then changed it to king.:clap:

Sweet didn't realize we had so many Spyders around here! At this point I am planning on riding the entire way. It is my first time and a friend of mine for NC does it every year and says it is fun.

We have never been to Spyderfest...

...and we are curious about the kinds of events that happen there. I looked at the Facebook site and on the registration site but didn't see what kinds of ultimate fun we can look forward to. All you Spyder-festers, can you give us an idea about what to expect?

Been there twice.

There's a "vendor village" inside a pavillion at the fair grounds. Most of the major Spyder vendors (and sponsors here) will be there selling their wares and performing installations. Best to decide early what you may want and contact the vendors about appointments.

There are a few organized rides but, IMHO, the major riding is the poker run. Visit specific area businesses and attractions, get your book stamped, and use it for the farkle auction at the last night's festivities. Best rides are things you do on your own or with friends throughout southwestern Missouri/northeastern Arkansas. The whole area has terrific roads; check out http://www.arkansas.com/motorcycling/ and http://ozarkrides.com/ for some ideas.

There's also a Casino night, with the proceeds going to charity. Light show and burnout show. In past year's there's been drag racing but I wouldn't assume that will be there this year unless they specifically say it will be.

Cookout and bonfire at the fairgrounds one evening, along with Spyder riding games (backwards timed race and blindfolded obstacle course are the main things that come to mind.)

Anything I forgot?

Meeting the other Spyder ryders & seeing all the farkles & custom items. Good way to learn about items other than just pics online. GOOD PEOPLE & GOOD TIMES all around.
Several of the host will have various
get-togethers by their spyder hosts hotels.

We booked several weeks ago at The BWCH. We plan to arrive the Monday evening of that week and do some riding around the area before the masses arrive in town. It's an awesome area for riding. Plan to leave on Sunday after the dust settles. There will be a list of events posted soon as the crew gets things finalized.

Looking forward to Spyderfest

This will be our first trip to Spyderfest, coming in from Phoenix! We are super excited for the trip and looking forward to meeting fellow Ryders!

What is a "farkle auction?"

If you are one of the first 500 to register for Spyderfest you receive a VIP pass.

Registration for Spyderfest (Springfield, MO) is now open and they are offering VIP passes to the first 500. I'm wondering about the VIP pass. What is it? Does anyone who works the event know what the VIP pass allows you to attend?

Not sure any details about the VIP pass are out yet. Patience Grasshopper....:p

I played if safe. When they announced the host hotels last year called and made reservations. The Lamplighter was almost sold out and this was in early August. So looks like the turnout will be even bigger and better than last year. The Campfire and Pie run in the rain was a ball. Hope for no rain at all.

Rookie Festers (:opps:) David and Sharon just signed up on Spyderfest.com website, said I was #156 and #157, but I also got a "Your order # does not correspond with registration number for the early registration giveaway." If I get a VIP Pass or not doesn't matter, I'm sure we'll be all google eyed and overwhelmed by the whole experience...

Beat me by 20, but we'll be there!

Thanks for sharing...

...about the events at Spyderfest. It sounds like a great amount of fun with a wonderful bunch of people. Trying to arrange our schedule so we can join all you Spyder Ryders!
