I guess my question what does the woman in the logo represent, she looks like someone out of the fifty's and what does that have to do with spyder riding?
The new logo is creating quite a buzz on the GOS Facebook page. Not a lot of positive replies from the lady riders which probably won't be much of a surprise to most. I know I'm not inclined to want to wear anything with a scantily clad woman on it and I don't imagine too many of you guys would run out to buy a shirt with a beefy man's picture on it. Just my .02 I'm sure there was a lot of work that went into the design and as a poster it would be fine but not my cup of tea for a shirt.
We hear you guys and are making adjustments. It was not intended to offend anyone. Sorry
I love the design, but I am a guy. The better half likes the design also, she is a girl, just saying. That said I understand the concept of the old WW2 nose art design and it is nicely done. I was planning to buy several for me, but the better half did say she would only buy one.
I think it would be great if you could lose the lady and keep the rest of the design. This would probably be a better generic design. Heck I would probably 1 or 2 without the lady.
I have no problem with the concept of 2 spyder designs, a Spyderfest and a GOS style. In fact that sounds like a great idea. :yes:Both promoting Spyderfest 2014.
There has been a lot of talk about our new logo.
The logo is meant to be old world, classy, pinup style, not trashy not sexist. We will not defend this, because it needs no defense.
It's simply meant to be classic, vintage, and a tribute to the heritage of all our world war 2 vets, one of greatest generation that has ever graced this planet, they went through some of the hardest times this nation has ever know. They shaped this nation into what it once was.... Without there courage, strength, and heart this nation would not be where it is today... The pin up girls, the old road signs, the wheat, was from there generation.... I might add one of the most wholesome of all generations.
This is a tribute to all of them!
Thank you to all our vets
