• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder stolen @ gun point

Well...that is a new one. Don't remember reading or hearing of any other gunpoint thefts of :spyder2:. Glad no one got injured in the process.

Keep watching craigslist, it will probably end up there. :roflblack:

WOW...I guess now the phrase "Spyder-Jacking" must now be coined.
Here's to hoping the owner gets his Spyder back quickly and intact...

Why..!!

a spyder..?? :dontknow: must have been the only thing around. Good thing he knew how to drive it..or did he..?? :banghead:

That would work if the bike had been shut down for a long-enough time, to force a re-start that required the "Mode Button Boogie"... :D

Just my 2Cents

Very vague. Wondering if there is more to this story...but as far as the carry statements..remember, being armed, while it may give you a sense of security also carries a very large degree of responsibility. That round, when fired, cannot come back. And in some jurisdictions, being confronted by someone with a "weapon" is not justification to use deadly force. Understand, I am a registered firearm owner and licensed in the state I live. I am a former law enforcement official. I choose not to carry, even though I can. I would rather step off my Spyder, and let the looney have it rather than lose my life.

Fishy fishy...sounds like someone couldn't afford to make their payments any longer. Who washes their spyder at a public car wash at night??

I just can't believe that the person that stole the bike broke the law by not wearing a helmet......

I carry . . . but would not shoot someone over my Spyder . . . stuff (and as much as I love my Spyder, it is just "stuff") can be replaced.

My carry gun doesn't come out of my holster unless I am in fear for my life, or for someone else's life. If I do draw it, it is because that level of concern has been met, and I am shooting to end the perceived threat, not warning or trying to detain for the police.

As for what someone was doing at a carwash, late at night . . . there are lots of possibilities . . . my son, for example, works from 3PM to 11PM . . . if he is washing his car, it is after work, late at night . . . not on his way to work. Last week, when I was in Ohio for their Spyder Rally, we ran over lots of "road apples" deposited there for our enjoyment by all the Amish carts in the region . . . had there been a car wash near the hotel where we stayed, and it hadn't been so cold, I'd have, very likely, been there each evening, cleaning the area around the front end, because there was horse :cus: everywhere!

Thank you...
You don't shoot somebody over "property".
