Thanks Scotty I'll give the dealer a call. They are trying. They tell me that mine is the only one that they have sold that is having problems.I'm not a Spyder mechanic, but if I were, I would be considering the Transmission Control Module (TCM), or even the wiring harness. A faulty RPM signal could also be the culprit, or noise on the CanBus system.

They do have a means of contacting BRP for technical support. I think it might be warranted in this case. I belive them when they say this is an isolated incident. They have done the normal stuff. Now it gets tougher, often guess and replace until things work. Thanks Scotty I'll give the dealer a call. They are trying. PLEASE NOTE: Your spyder has to exhibit these problems this IS NOT an automatic blanket repair!!!!!
Where do y'all find them bullitens? I contacted a new dealer about 6 hours from me versus 14 hours where I bought the machine. They hadn't got ant bullitens.
Thanks for this info. I started having some problems going from reverse to first. Called the dealer, mentioned the Bulletin. He called back in @15 minutes and quoted replacement of the Gear Angle Position Sensor, Oil Pressure Regulatory Spring and the software update. He even asked how my power steering was doing. Said they need her for about a week. Sure hope he's right about thatThis is the only problem I've had and I'm still completely happy with the SE5.
My 2008 Spyder with 945 miles suddenly started to shift rough after a 200 mile trip and completely stopped shifting, all in about a 20 minute period on Jan.24th. I hauled it to the dealer in North Carolina and three weeks later after a backorder on the recall parts the service manager told me, the recall parts didn't totally fix the problem. They now needed a solenoid switch and gasket and guess what!! BRP told them those parts were on back order, which might be up to 3 months:yikes:. I hit the ceiling, called my attorney and he confirmed the Lemon Law in Georgia didn't even include motorcycles:banghead:. The nearest Spyder dealer to me is in North Carolina. North Carolina has a really good Lemon Law that covers motorcycles. My attorney said i was covered, since i bought it in NC:clap:.
My dealer, Smith Power Sports in Hayesville,NC, in particular Kathy and Red in the service department went to bat for me and a few days later was able to get the needed parts and made sure everything was good as new before calling me. I drove it home on March 2, and its really nice to have it back in the stables with the other bikes, (which get neglected when the Spyder is running good).

I disagree. In my book this is strictly the dealer. Unfortunately for us all, dealer commitment and dealer approach to problems varies greatly. I'm sure some take advantage of the loopholes in the variations in state laws, so some may not try nearly as hard if they have no penalty involved. The corporation is never involved in warranty issues until asked to intervene. Some dealers are willing to solicit help from the corporation, while sadly, others are not. Just my view.Looks like corporation is taking advantage of law by ignoring the states without legal protection and favor the states with established law. Impossible for one state dealer to get a 3 mo. wait and the other with a 2 days wait. Just doesn't compute.

ur kidding right? they do have others to work on and they cant possibly stock every part on every bike they sell...good luck with getting much of anythhing done in one dayI would never leave my Spyder with a dealer overnight, let alone for a week. There is no repair that takes more than a few hours. They just want to work on it at their leisure.....
