• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Erratic shifting on 2015 Spyder RT SE5

I just took my 2015 Spyder RT SE5 out of winter storage. I let it run for 10 minutes. I put on 1st gear and started down the road. The bike started shifting on it's own. The gear indicator on the dash was flashing. I stopped and shut it off. I restarted again then shut off. Finally I started it again and headed down the road. It ran fine with no problem. Has anyone else had this
problem? Ant one know what would cause this?

Oil Level

Check the engine oil level and make sure it is okay. Do you know when the oil was last change? How many miles are on the Spyder? Anything else you can add would be very helpful. ......

2015 RT? Should be an SE6, cos only the 6 speed g/boxes (SM6/SE6) came with the 1330 motors - the 2013 RT's were the last of the RT V-Twins, and ALL the V-Twins had 5 speed SM5/SE5 g/boxes. ;)

As for your flashing Gear Position Indicator, it was probably only because the sensor was a little bit dirty/gummy from its winter hibernation. If it happens again, you probably should check for any codes BEFORE you shut it down & start it up again, cos that'll likely reset the active codes so you won't see any if you try AFTER! But I suspect it'll be good now, at least for a while/until after its next hibernation?!

Thanks for the reply. The engine level was good. I bought the bike last July. The past owner said it had been serviced. I did find the Brake oil levels low. I added more Brake oil. The Bike is going in for service 4/15.
