There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyder RT Pricing

Questions

We are seriously looking at buying a Spyder RT but are curious as to how close to MSRP we could expect on pricing. When we road Harley's our local dealers were always at MSRP. Given the Spyder is NOT a Harley in popularity or demand, where do most dealers go price wise? Thanks in advance.

You can ask whatever you want, the relationship you have with your dealer will be the determining factor or how much they are starving for cash. I have a friend that an unbelievable deal on his but he spends about 50K a year with that dealer. I've pretty much paid full list for every bike I've ever wanted so my negotiating skills are somewhat lacking.
Best of luck to you.

Some of the dealers here in Fl are out of new Spyders and are trying to get them from other dealers. 3 months ago the prices were down some.

Relationship with the dealer definately is a big part of price negotiations, if you are able to get them. 9 years and 7 bikes from the same dealer helped me a lot.

Town & Country in Cement City, MI has their RT's at $1,000 below list, and as of a week ago they had 3 or 4 on the floor.

I have two dealers in my area of southern Maine. When I was looking in June one had an RT-S and the other an Rt. As of this week those machines are still sitting in their showrooms. With demand the way it is it makes you wonder why??? I drive an hour and a half to Hooksett, N. H. and enjoy the savings and service.

All good points. I think the arguments even with a first time dealer is to point out the facts that he SHOULD know but doesn't want to let on, namely, overall cycle sales all sizes are down 17.3% from last year, heavyweights like Harley are down 30% and Polaris is down 55%. And in looking at the top 25 rankings for motorcycles, etc. Can-am is not even there. I've read here that resale value is not as good as other machines so put all that together, something less than MSRP should be in order IMHO. I don't really care about resale value as I generally ride my machines into the ground over the years. Just won't go out and buy something new every two years or so like others. My problem is that the first quote I got after I pulled sales tax out was $1100 over MSRP and the dealer claimed he was giving me a discount! :hun: About all I could do on that one was :roflblack:. I've queried another dealer to see what kind of numbers I get from them, but we'll see.

My dealer, Seminole Power Sports, in Sanford, Flarda, has two blue RT-S and I believe two RS. I wasn't aware of this thread when I saw them so I have no idea what they were asking. I also saw a couple of trailers.

This store "moved" several spyders this year. Consequently, I would be surprised if they came down on their price.
