• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Spyder Pin Program

I never got my owners welcome pack when I purchased my 09 Spyder but it took about a month or so to get my 5k pin after submission. Just purchased a 2012 RT-S and in a month & half later got my owners welcome pack with Can am spyder Owner pin, Patch, accessories catalog plus small info cards to hand out!!!! Thanks BRP

Huh, I never got anything like that. Maybe because I bought a "new" 2012 in 2013? This is the first I've heard of this pin thing, and I have 8300 miles on a bike just purchased in February!

Took me twice to get pin

I had to send the picture of my odometer and a picture of me and my RT twice. By the time I received the pin I had 12000 miles. My wife has more mileage on her bike than I do and has never received her pin after 3 tries, so she just gave up. We will probably not send for any more pins, just not worth it. The one I did receive is very cheaply made.

I sent in my info over a year ago....and still no pin....:dontknow:

Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice - ain't gonna happen :lecturef_smilie:

Never heard of this pin offer 'till now...

I too have never heard of this pin offer. Got my ST-L 2 months ago and no welcome packet as of yet. May be a bit premature for me as I am only about to crest 1600 miles. Another poster mentioned their welcome packet came with a welcome pin, patch and other swag.

I would like to have that stuff too. Guess i'll be waiting by the mailbox for that welcome packet...

WELCOME PACKAGE

I noticed that some of the people replying here mentioned not receiving any type of WELCOME PACKAGE. Some also claimed no knowledge of the PIN program.

I thought I would include information about the WELCOME PACKAGE I received (which includes information about the pin program).

The information about the pin program is well documented (thank you for posting about this!). The problem seems to be in getting the pins, and the perceived hassle to get them. Results have been dubious for many. I became eligible for a 25K pin on my RT some 9K miles ago. Did not even apply this go around. I have my 25K patch from Cat Specialties though.

Amen !! I started this thread because I had applied for my 5k pin months ago. Kinda sucks how poorly BRP handles this program.

It would be better not to offer the program, then to offer it, but take forever (or sometimes NEVER) to fulfill pin requests.

I picked up my RTS on 06-01-13 and sent BRP customer service an e-mail on 7-04-13 with odometer reading and got a 5k pin last week. Not too bad, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones..

25K Pin

I sent my info in for the 25K pin the last week of July and got it yesterday! I haven't had a problem getting the pins.

What email address you use. I followed the directions in the welcoming package and it told me where to mail all the information. Snail mail that is...
went to the BRP site and wen through "contact" had no trble..ADD=went and looked through my e-mails and found the address for service...."Service" <[email protected]>; HOPE this helps all who are seeking pins.

Got our 5k pin in about a month, never got the welcome pack. Bought my RT last November
I emailed the particulars on August 29, 2013. I originally followed the instruction from the WELCOMING PACKAGE and (snail) mailed the information on April 30th.

Maybe BRP is too busy putting out fires (literally) and haven't gotten to the 5k pins recently?

It has now become a challenge to see if BRP will follow through on the most simple task.

We never received our welcome kit either...registered the RT online for the kit. No big deal but, if BRP is going to offer them, they should be consistent.

BRP only mails the mileage pins out quarterly. I'm not sure what their schedule is for welcome packages but I got one for my first RT after I sent in the change of owner card from the manual and I received one, probably in July, for the Spyder I purchased at the end of April.
