• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder has to stay at dealer?

I believe the correct PN is 710006576. The original PN was 710005427 but is listed as changed to the former by Cheap Cycle Parts. CCP also lists the part as specifically for the 2018 F3 Ltd, amongst other F3s. PN 710008091 is listed by CCP as for MY 2020 and 2021 F3s. Send this post, along with a complete, polite litany of the BS you are getting from the dealership to [email protected] and ask them to get off their backsides and get a WARRANTY part, 710006576, for your Spyder from CCP, who has it in stock. Last step, find a new dealership.

The dealership has my Spyder. If I pick it up I will be responsible for
the $99 BUDS diagnostic charge. I have sent another email to BRP...

From what I've seen in the past, that's not an unusual practice. You bring your vehicle in with a problem and the dealer charges a fee ($100.00 from what I've seen, you figure out what's wrong.) If you elect to have that dealer fix the problem, that fee is included in the overall repair cost. If you decided that have the work done later, you pony up the original diagnostic fee.

Great. Part # 710008091

Thank You!

Oops! Posted wrong # Earlier.

Don't get anything yet. If I can get this, I can probably save you some cash. I should know by tomorrow.

Update:
I sent you a PM. Just let me know if I can be of help.

So I just asked my neighbor who is a shop manager for a Mazda Dealer. In OH any way the only way a shop can keep your vehicle is if you do not pay and the owner of the shop obtains a mechanic's lien. If they refuse to give it to you or did not obtain a lien then its considered stolen. Even if the car is still under repair and not safe. You have to pay for the work that has been done but they must release it to you.

Three months is too long, the weird part is that they can't provide you a definite answer.

The weird part is that this part is readily available here in the states. I hope I'm missing some facts here. But it seems to me that they are just putting this off until they think they can get to it. Maybe they are swamped with 4x4's and snowmobiles, and they just don't want to mess with a Spyder right now. I hope not. If this is true, they should just say so. The truth is so much easier to keep track of!

Hopefully, the OP can get some movement, SOON!

BRP.com shows part available for 2018 F3-L with expected delivery in under 2 weeks. No mention of backorder status on their website.

I've gotten better delivery direct from BRP, with delivery to local dealer, than I have out of CCP. And, frankly, the price was more expensive from CCP when one factors in shipping. A recent order had parts here in 3 business days vs the 2 - 3 weeks stated by CCP.

I'm still Working (Fighting?) with Dealer and BRP over reimbursement if
I purchase the part.

How about I just have the part shipped from my dealer to your dealer? Sounds ridiculous and I'd be a bit embarrassed to even ask. You know what questions I'd get from my dealer.

Something is extremely strange about this.
