Front Sprocket BRP Bulletin No. 2010-1 http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18252 :doorag:Hey guys... is there an early warning sign of this happening, or does it just go snap one day?
Is there something we (ryders) can do to help prevent this, proactively?
Thanks!
Dean

Two sprockets. The second one came attached to a new motor. :2thumbs:
Maybe the 3rd one will come attached to a new Spyder?![]()
Did your Spyder RS had the sprocket replaced?
Would also like to find out how many that had to have this done was done under warranty and if the belt and rear sprocket was replaced also.
Front Sprocket came off dealer fixed by using red lock tight on the bolt about 2500km later sprocket came off again. Wait and see what happens this time. 27000 km onthe bike
I "smoked" the red locktite in under 10K miles...The red locktite you are talking about is supposed to be the kind that after it is put on, it will lock the bolt and never come off. You will have to break the bolt to get the sprocket off. The blue is the kind that will come off with hand tools. If the dealer put the red on and it still came loose there is something wrong somewhere.
