Spray Cleaner

Guess I will chime in also.

In the past I used to buy the Honda spray cleaner. This is also the same stuff (private branded) as J200 spray.

Currently, I have been having very good success with Armor All cleaning wipes. They cut the dirt and bugs and leave the :ani29: looking pretty good.

I need to take the hose and brush to my wheels and the underside parts of the :spyder2:'s to get the road grime off--but all the plastic parts now stay pretty pristine.

I am at the point where a complete hose washing of the :ani29: is hard on me--due to mobility issues--but am getting by.

I am going to give the lemon Pledge a try also.

I'm waiting for someone with a satin finish to check in. There's a big warning on my frunk lid saying not to use wax on the finish, but it doesn't say what you should use.

My Triumph Street Triple R had a satin finish. You really only need a mild detergent in water and a soft clean sponge. If you find any stubborn
stains or bugs just soak them and leave for around 5 minutes then they should come off easily. Don't rub or buff the paint as it will get shiny
and there is nothing you can do to restore the satin finish. :lecturef_smilie:

Lemon Pledge. You should see how shiny my Spyder is!

I took your advice last year. And now I use nothing but lemon pledge really makes the bike shine.

I use ICE spray wax and cleaner and have for years. In the spots that accumulate a lot of bugs I use Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover (it is also a wax). This really makes it easy to clean the bugs off after applied.

+1 for Ice spray wax and also Eagle One Wet & Wax. Both can be used on the windshield and black parts. Eagle One smells best tho!

Today I bought some ICE spray detailer and Lucas SlickMist. At BRP-OE I'll get some XPS and use it when these are empty.

The XPS cleaner and the cleaner box kit are not in stock at BRP. I checked with Velocity when I was down there, they don't have any either. Nor does my local dealer. Don't know what's going on in Canada.

Regarding the Matte finish, one of the guys with us two weeks ago was using something but I can't remember what it was. Chemical Guys sells Meticulous Matte Detailer and Spray Sealant. www.chemicalguys.com

Know you live near Seacoast Harley they sell Black denim cleaner works great on my bike.

I use a product called Bass Boat Saver. Been using it on my boat for years. Leaves no residue on black surfaces, removes road grime and bugs with ease. Costs about $29 a gallon. That's lasts me several years cleaning a boat. I've never found a better spray on product.

:thumbup: Been using Lemon pledge for years on motorcycles, airplanes, cars, RV's. Works great on windshields. If there is mud or sand rinse it off first then wipe down with pledge and a clean rag.. Any detailer from an auto parts store will do the same thing.
