• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Southern Cruiser Rider Needing Help.

I don't normally post things asking for help, but a dear friend of ours has been injured.

Randy "Toothpick" Carden is our 1st officer for the Covington/Conyers, GA chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club. Toothpick is a dedicated rider & has spent countless hours setting up rides & helping to organize events & rides to raise thousands of dollars for Saint Jude's Children's Hospital. (He is our leader & the reason the Southern Cruisers do the Bike Fest on the courthouse square twice a year in Covington, GA all funds raised are 100% donated to St Jude's every year.)

this is our time to show him how much all of his dedication to children in need is respected & time to return a portion of the gifts of love.

Coming home from a wonderful chapter ride to Pigeon Forge, TN was definately more eventful than planned...
an accident -with minimal damage to the bikes involved- left our First Officer, Randy Carden (affectionately known as Toothpick) with a broken right leg. One break in the tabia (shinbone) and three beaks to the fibula. His surgery/rehab/recovery may take as long as 6 months. !!! 6 months out of work !!!

I have had so many ask, it was decided that it was time to setup a fund for all of the extended family (including all of the SCRC fam-damily) that want to contribute to the Cardens. It has now been 3 weeks without his primary source of income to the household. Insurance will only cover a portion of the medical bills.
All funds collected here will be used for household bills.

please clink on the link below & if you feel in your heart to help him while he is down, we all would appreciate it. if not please copy & paste the link so we can reach as many people as we can.

thanks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, he is in field of installing paint booths............ so he will be without income for up to 6 months.

they saying it will be another 3-6 weeks before he can even put his toe on the ground. then 3-4 months of slow physical therapy & recovery.

Sorry to hear..!!

:pray:'s for him and his family throughout this rough patch. Thanks to you for coming to his aide..

yes many prayers & thoughts are lifted up for him & his family...............

this was truly an accident that happened.................. not that any biker that wrecks is in the wrong but this one was totally not his fault............

he was stopped at a red light on the way home from our ride..................... another rider on a trike couldn't stop in time & his left wheel took Randy's leg out & ran over it at the same time.
even though Randy was injured, luckily his wife was not hurt & the trike rider wasn't hurt.

Of course I wish another member of SCRC the very best of luck.
I'm curious though, why didn't they give him an internal rod to support his leg.
I was out of work for two weeks. Of course, I needed a cane to walk.

I don't know about doing the rod for support............ I know he had 1 break in one bone of the leg & 3 breaks in the other & his entire foot was crushed.

Prayers and well wishes from SCRC Chapter 072. Hate to hear about this. It has been a bad year it seems for motorcycle accidents.

much love & huggs to you Rockwall................................
anything will help him out.................even if its just the thoughts & prayers............

he is really a one of a kind guy & will give the shirt off his back for children (not only the kids of St. Jude's)
he also heads up a big Santa effort we have done for the last 3 years at least. (since i have been apart of the SCRC)

last year he organized a Santa ride & we helped out 4 families that were a little down on their luck at Christmas time & made their kids have the best Christmas ever................. 20+ bikes showing up at their doors on Christmas morning with Santa leading the way........

we are halfway to the goal set for helping out *toothpick & his family*

thanks for all the thoughts, prayers, & donations big or small..........

thx agn
